About
Located just outside of Columbia, The Windermere Club sits along the banks of the lake that it takes its name from. Pete Dye designed the golf course, crafting a number of memorable holes. It's his only design in the Midlands. No two holes are alike on this challenging layout, so expect to use every club in your bag. The golf course offers a variety of risk-reward opportunities that will appeal to both low and high handicappers. There are also five, and sometimes six, tee boxes on every hole, making the golf course even more appealing for any skill level. The fairways are generous but lined with mature hardwoods and there are strategically placed bunkers to contend with. Golfers at The Windemere Club will also encounter subtle but tricky elevation changes and several lakes and ponds.

Apt Name, windy day at Windemere
As luck would have, it the day we picked to play was windy. Windy in 20-25mph. Guess what, the course played very well as almost every hole was protected from the wind. All and all a good course that would be great with a little more talc. Greens were perfect.

the course has great set up and pretty nice conditions given the ridiculous amounts of rain SC has gotten lately.

It was winter so the course was very wet and dormant would love to play it in season
Not worth it for the money
The worst part about our round was a cart died on us...on the 5th hole. On 18, another cart died. Really really ridiculous.
Not currently in good shape
It rained recently, but not for long at all. The course did not drain at all, and most of the bunkers were pools. Usually love the course but would not have gone out there today if I knew the shape it was in.
