Great day / perfect weather!
Love to play this course! Staff is always friendly and courteous. Worth making the 55 mile ride to play. Would recommend to all handicappers.
Overall Course is in good shape
Played with 3 other golf now buddies inspite of the heat we had a great time enjoyed the round and the fellowship
Great Experience
Always friendly staff. Nice layout and the Starter gives you a good heads up on your position to tee off. Pace of play is always good!
Great Stop on the Way to Myrtle Beach
This is a great course to play on the way to Myrtle Beach. It's less than 2 miles off I-20 East going into Florence. We always try to play on our way by.
The staff was very friendly and made sure we got off easily. We were paired with another twosome.
Greens were in decent shape and putted well. Conditions had been dry for a week before we played but no problems. A couple of greens had dry spots (at the crowns or elevated sides) but holes were located away from these spots.
Lookin’ 4ward 2 Repeat!
Met all of our expectations and we plan on returning within the next 30 days
Beautiful course, friendly and knowledgeable staff, will return soon!
Good Course for the fee
This course is in pretty good shape and will improve with warmer weather
Tee boxes suck. pieces of rotten wood for markers..ugly and unappealing for status of course and the price of a round.
Great golf outing!
Very friendly staff! Enjoy it every time we play there. Worth the 50mile ride.
A venue for a PGA event!!
Excellent. Enjoyed playing it met some good playing partners.
A new nine and and old one for me
I used to live in Florence and played the original 18 often. They were just in the planning stages for the woodlands 9 when I moved away and was never able to play it. All I can say is, what a shame that I had to wait this long to play the woodlands. Meandering through the woods this course layout is really fantastic. The best part of the layout is that they have several teeing options to make it fair for average golfers and really tough for low handicappers. With water features and some tight fairways this 9 is a true test of golf. Then there is the second none, one of the originals that I have played often in the past. A fun layout with direction changes everywhere to make you use every club in your bag.
Amazing place in the middle of nowhere!
We were traveling from Myrtle Beach to Augusta and decided to try Traces. What an amazing place! The staff was more than welcoming, the course fair and fun. Fairways are ample, but not huge, and there’s water in play on a couple holes. The greens were quick but not penalizing, and rolled perfectly true.
We had a sunny day, a virtually empty course, and one of the most fun rounds we’ve had in a while. It is a highly underrated course, and one you should try if you’re ever making the trek through rural South Carolina.
Course is in Excellent shape
The course has 27 holes. I played 18. It is a fairly basic layout. White tees are very playable and back tees would provide a decent challenge.
But hats off to the superintendant.
The course is in very very good shape. The greens were perfect. Good approach shots would stop quickly and they were smooth and true.
