The Preserve at Verdae

This is an amazing golf course. I picked it randomly on a visit to an NCCAA convention. It lived upto and exceeded my expectations. The greens and fairways were plush. The staff not only friendly, but courteous and kind.

The course is not so easy, I had a hard time reading the greens. You must keep the ball in the fairways to score. Overall, A+

Nice course need to really hit the fairways on this course otherwise you are making a double.

Some of the greens had growth issues on the perimeter and a few spots in middle of greens

Overall a good value nice experience.

Played on 5/8/25 I thought the course was in great shape. I am just nitpicking on this particular issue when the grounds guys move the whole location on the greens, they move it way too many times and it affects some of my puts or it could’ve been just my bad putting LOL , but other than that, the course is a great place to play

Whether GolfNow or the Preserve, there was no warning/alert that 9 holes were closed. Had to play back 9 twice. Would have selected another course if this had been known.

An absolutely perfect day for some golf. The proshop gentleman was incredibly kind, but we didn't know we would have to play the front 9 twice due to damage from the hurricane last year. We were told 3 times by marshals to speed our play up, but we were constantly waiting to hit, so not our fault. Other than that, course is a great deal if you can find a hot deal!

It’s a good deal as far as The Hot Deal. Course overall in good shape for it being Winter Conditions. Lots of bare spots edge of fairways & Greens were slow, estimate 8-10. Course is fun and very challenging. Too many holes are cart path only (full time) which slows pace significantly. Expect a plus 4 hour round and a 5 hour round when there is a frost delay.

Course was decent, bunkers were filled with rocks and greens were pretty bumpy and had patches of bad areas . Probably won’t play here again.

Always a really good course. Greens still roll well even during the winter! A lot of clean up going on due to Helene, but not in the way at all.

I have played this course 4 years ago which I also had a unpleasant experience. Given the damaged of the course from the hurricane in September I figured there would be some issues. However course is still in rough condition not counting damage from storm excluding the greens which were in good condition. At $85+12 booking fee makes the cliffs courses look like a steal . At peak season I could see $80+ assuming better conditions. I guess with one of the few public courses they can get away with the price. Although if you are looking for a challenging course this is the one in Greenville. Definitely has a great course layout to challenge the average or more pro golfers.

Booked on GolfNow. When I got to course it was closed. Cost me an hour drive to find that out. Definitely not a good look between GolfNow and The Club at Verdae.

Had a blast. Awesome course it may play a little slow but it's tough.
