About
Architect Dennis Griffiths designed this track as a finesse course. He did not produce the typical beach layout when he created this 18-hole design, built in 1988. It has narrow bermudagrass fairways and large bentgrass greens and is bordered on the east by the Intracoastal Waterway.
Holes No. 1 through 15 are short, and the course lulls you up to this point. Then, the last three holes are uncharacteristically difficult.The course is mostly flat, with occasional uneven lies. Some tree-lined fairways have doglegs. The course is always fun to play and an especially fun round of golf for couples.

Great spot
Very playable course. Didn’t have to hit driver off every tee. Nicely manicured fairways. The ball sits up nicely everywhere in the fairways and first cut.. Greens in excellent shape and small targets. Bring your shirt iron game! Great place for my two teenage boys to enjoy a round away from Raleigh NC.

Worth the money
Tight tee shots, fairways in good condition. Greens are extremely slow. Worth the $30, would play again for fun. Wouldn’t want to play a match there.

Great course, but reservations need to manage group size
We love this course! Have played it for years. My only comment is that 2-somes should be grouped with other 2-somes. We were in front of 2 different groups of 2-somes and we had a 4-some. We were playing best ball so we were moving fairly quickly but we still felt uncomfortable that we were holding up the 2 groups behind us. I'm sure they were frustrated as well. Then we turned to the back nine and a 2-some had been added between us and the group we had played behind all day. This 2-some took more time to play then the 4 of us so that was frustrating as well.

Trash Course - go elsewhere
Have you ever had a ranger try run you off the golf course at 5:30 PM? Why he did this you may ask?
“I’m ready to go home” mind you, we were on 15, with a foursome, only 3:12 in to the round. Everyone else at the club was cool but the ranger can eat rocks! Get a new job if you don’t want to be there.

A very short course but in good shape fairways has grass greens ok tees good but not level don’t play on Tuesday afternoon couples league of older people
