About
Architect Dennis Griffiths designed this track as a finesse course. He did not produce the typical beach layout when he created this 18-hole design, built in 1988. It has narrow bermudagrass fairways and large bentgrass greens and is bordered on the east by the Intracoastal Waterway.
Holes No. 1 through 15 are short, and the course lulls you up to this point. Then, the last three holes are uncharacteristically difficult.The course is mostly flat, with occasional uneven lies. Some tree-lined fairways have doglegs. The course is always fun to play and an especially fun round of golf for couples.

First time on course but will play again
I will play this course again because of the staff. Pro shop greeted me by name when I arrived and the course marshal sent us off on our late afternoon 9 holes so we wouldn't be pushed (we were golfing best ball with our niece who has just started taking lessons).
Course was in fairly decent shape after the extremely wet weather we've had this late winter/early spring. There was no standing water on the nine we played, but the soft areas were roped off to mitigate cart damage. Fariways have enough width to handle those errant shots, but also have enough terrain and hazards to keep you honest. Greens picked up speed as the wind picked up, but the greens on our 9 were in excellent shape (I was amazed how well they looked and played as we always see the course busy each time we drive by.)
Overall, an enjoyable round and we will return.

Going where???
The course is easy to look at but tough to play for the first time. We found ourseves hitting our second shots at the wrong green a couple times and several times penalty shots occurred when a great shot found a hazard that was not evident either on the card or by visual inspection. I think 3 or 4 rounds would make navigation much less a challenge. Greens were well maintained and demanded your full attention. We will probably visit this course again before heading north.

Nice course
We come to North Myrtle Beach once or twice a year from upstate NY and Eastport is always our first stop to play. Has a variety of holes, some hard some easy a nice mix for our first rounds of the year.

Course play
Course was good but a little slow. Did not see a cart girl for snacks and drinks?

Good Price, course in Poor Shape, Too Jammed Up
Staff very friendly. We didn’t take advantage of any amenities so can’t comment on them.
First, I’ve never played a course that lacked a driving range. Strike one. Second, the starter told us we could tee off right away, 30 minutes early. Having arrived 30 minutes early to loosen up on the range that didn’t exist, we jumped at the opportunity to get off early. But there wasn’t a gap we were filling. We were just squeezed into an already crowded front nine. We had to wait on every hole for the foursome ahead of us
Ito tee off, and then a 10-15 minute delay at each tee box. Strike two. Finally, the course is undergoing significant maintenance, and really requires MUCH more maintenance (greens are inconsistent and choppy, fairways inconsistent with bare spots). Strike three. To be fare, the slow crowd ahead of us quit after nine and the pace improved. Play this if you’re happy with $37.50 for a mediocre course. If you’re looking for a decent course you have many other better options.
We see that you mentioned our staff was very friendly, which is terrific to hear. We'd love to hear how else we can improve since you only rated the course 1 star.
Short course
It’s a good course that is different. Narrow fairways with short holes. It’s a good course if you want to work on your long irons and short game. Was in decent condition. I would have enjoyed it better if I were playing better golf lol. They don’t allow anyone to tee off for 18 holes with in 4 hours of sunset. Which was a bit weird due to being such a short course you can play quick golf if no one is ahead of you
