The Club at Pine Forest
About
The 18 semi-private holes at Pine Forest wind through the tall Summerville pines with numerous live oaks, dogwoods and a lake system thrown in for good measure. With an equal balance of straightaways, doglegs and elevation changes, this course is nicely balanced, with challenges and fun in store for golfers of all levels. Rental clubs and electric carts are available.
At 6,905 yards with a 138-slope rating, Pine Forest lives up to its name, as the course has numerous barriers of tall Summerville pines to cause problems for an errant shot. The Bob Spence design also makes use of water to add to the difficulty of some holes. It's a semi-private course, and they've named each hole, with No. 12 being known as "Little Augusta" while No. 15 is "Wastelands."

My New Home Course
Not bad, course had a lot of casual water, as it had rained the night before we played at 11:35 ish.
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!
They booked more tee times then they had carts so we had to wait 30 minutes after our tee time to start. When we got to the back 9 there were 3 parties waiting to tee off so we just played the front 9 again. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!
Great course
Water comes into play a lot. Be carefully.staff was awesome!
Very slow 3 1/2 hours to play 9 holes
Course was very wet, so it was cart path only. It took 3 1/2 hours to play 9 holes. At 4 p.m. we were the 4th group out waiting to make the turn, sunset was at 5:16 pm so we requested a refund of the 2nd nine holes.
The staff was so very understanding and pleasant, they readily agreed to refund us, as we were traveling through the area.
I would love to come back to play this very challenging course again. Lots of places to get in trouble, but I could see it being a fun course to play once you know the lay of the land.
Charleston and the surrounding area is a beautiful place to visit.
Not the Best day for Pine Forest
Usually a fun and challenging course but the pace of play was excruciating. 6.5 hours is just unacceptable
The course was wet due to extended rain. But a great layout and friendly
Challenging course
Great staff this course is one of the more challenging courses around - Water Water and more water ...but always a great course to play
Good track!
Played this course a handful of times. Layout is fun and challenging but manageable. In better shape than expected given the recent temps. When in season the only thing I would improve is the green speeds as they tend to be on the slower side. Range is nice and accommodates every club in the bag. Water comes into play on a few holes with others holes bordered by water behind the tree line guarding the fairways. Most looks from the tee box are fairly open. Value for the money is awesome with greens fees around $40. Pace is always smooth here with the exception of a slow group here or there but tee times are spread enough to keep play flowing. Will play here again.
Pace of play very slow
It is the second time we play the course. The course is nice and staff are friendly.
The pace of play is very slow. After todays round we decided not to play here anymore.
Great challenge
Great course good layout greens are a little slow but in great shape
