About
The 18 semi-private holes at Pine Forest wind through the tall Summerville pines with numerous live oaks, dogwoods and a lake system thrown in for good measure. With an equal balance of straightaways, doglegs and elevation changes, this course is nicely balanced, with challenges and fun in store for golfers of all levels. Rental clubs and electric carts are available.
At 6,905 yards with a 138-slope rating, Pine Forest lives up to its name, as the course has numerous barriers of tall Summerville pines to cause problems for an errant shot. The Bob Spence design also makes use of water to add to the difficulty of some holes. It's a semi-private course, and they've named each hole, with No. 12 being known as "Little Augusta" while No. 15 is "Wastelands."

Needs a lot of TLC
First time playing the course in four years. This is a lovely tract, but the greens are totally, utterly unplayable.
Awful greens
Too bad cause it’s a nice layout but the greens are worst I’ve ever played on. So many dead spots. They really need to fix these
Not what I was expecting.
The greens were essentially gone. The holes were cut in the only small patch of decent grass to be found on each green. Most of each green looked like smooth dirt. Pretty unplayable. Kind of too bad, but I personally would give this course some time and space to heal.
Nice place for the price!
Overall, the course is fine! Fun layout, but maybe we just caught it on a bad weekend! The Green’s are in really rough shape! But even with than that, I’d still go back!

Challenging long par 72 course with many water hazards thorough out. Well maintained and beautiful scenery.
Challenging Course, excellent staff, excellent course
I have played rounds in numerous states and courses within. After moving to Charleston permanently, I had a free day to play the course again with a friend. Just as the first time, excellent upkeep, extremely friendly and knowledgeable employees, and a challenge for any amateur or seasoned player; with holes such as mini Augusta leaving a smile on your face. Will for sure be looking into a membership soon!

Nice layout. Lots of rain lately created some muddy areas, but not too bad. We enjoyed our round and would play again

Challenging course could use some maintenance
This was a challenging golf course with plenty of water especially on the back 9. The greens were quite slow and it could be due to heavy rainfall. Overall they probably needed to be rolled and cut. Some better maintenance around the bunkers as well as fairway's. This was definitely a great bang for the buck, as I got a good deal on Golfnow due to my membership having the extra $10 credit. I will definitely look to play this course again in the future.

The course handled all the recent rain just fine.it was cart path only.layout was difficult but fair.nice course
Beautiful Course
Had to ask twice to be allowed to go out before our scheduled tee time as there was no one on the tee and we were trying to beat the rain which ultimately won out after 9 holes but the course is beautiful. Still not in optimal shape but not bad for the time of year. Lots of water.
