About

Holes 18
Type Semi-Private
Par 72
Length 6905 yards
Slope 138
Rating 73.9

The 18 semi-private holes at Pine Forest wind through the tall Summerville pines with numerous live oaks, dogwoods and a lake system thrown in for good measure. With an equal balance of straightaways, doglegs and elevation changes, this course is nicely balanced, with challenges and fun in store for golfers of all levels. Rental clubs and electric carts are available.

At 6,905 yards with a 138-slope rating, Pine Forest lives up to its name, as the course has numerous barriers of tall Summerville pines to cause problems for an errant shot. The Bob Spence design also makes use of water to add to the difficulty of some holes. It's a semi-private course, and they've named each hole, with No. 12 being known as "Little Augusta" while No. 15 is "Wastelands."

Good track!

Played this course a handful of times. Layout is fun and challenging but manageable. In better shape than expected given the recent temps. When in season the only thing I would improve is the green speeds as they tend to be on the slower side. Range is nice and accommodates every club in the bag. Water comes into play on a few holes with others holes bordered by water behind the tree line guarding the fairways. Most looks from the tee box are fairly open. Value for the money is awesome with greens fees around $40. Pace is always smooth here with the exception of a slow group here or there but tee times are spread enough to keep play flowing. Will play here again.

A must play

Very impressive golf course. Course layout is top shelf and condition of fairways and greens are excellent. Bunkers need some TLC. The toughest part is getting around the course in a golf cart; cart paths are in severe need of repair and irregularities (bumps) on the fairways and rough are tough on your clubs and backside. Very challenging but highly recommended if you like to air out your driver, hit to elevated greens (club up 1 or 2 clubs, and enjoy lots of undulations, tall pines and water hazards.

Good not great

Decent course. Biggest problem was the ground was extremely hard. Broke several tees trying to get them in the ground. Greens are sooo slow. Hard to take a good divot when the ground is so hard. Nice layout and views.
