About

The 18 semi-private holes at Pine Forest wind through the tall Summerville pines with numerous live oaks, dogwoods and a lake system thrown in for good measure. With an equal balance of straightaways, doglegs and elevation changes, this course is nicely balanced, with challenges and fun in store for golfers of all levels. Rental clubs and electric carts are available.

At 6,905 yards with a 138-slope rating, Pine Forest lives up to its name, as the course has numerous barriers of tall Summerville pines to cause problems for an errant shot. The Bob Spence design also makes use of water to add to the difficulty of some holes. It's a semi-private course, and they've named each hole, with No. 12 being known as "Little Augusta" while No. 15 is "Wastelands."

Interesting lUout

Water comes into play throughout. I found it very interesting and challenging for my 20 handicap. Was in sand only once but water a couple of times. Course was decent for winter conditions.

The Greens were bumpy and in terrible

Condition. The pace of play was disgraceful. Their was no Rangers to be seen in order to quicken the pace.

This was a nice course. It was in really good shape considering the time of year. Can't wait to play it when the weather is better.

Most holes you are better off left than right. And itnseemed.like everyone had water. The course is definitely challenging.

When the greens are in good condition, the course is wonderful. If it's wet or recently rained, it gets super muddy. Overall, I never regret playing there.

Poor conditions

Unfortunately this course still suffers. I have played this course 5 times in the last year and a half. Hoping to see improvement in the greens or in the overall course condition. Played in May, August, Sept and Oct and either the course has been extremely wet(under water) or the greens are totally blighted and unsuitable.

Shame since the staff and clubhouse staff are so nice as well as the greens fees low.

Wanted to set me up with three older people. I signed up to play by myself I understand sometimes want to book the whole course but sometimes people want to play on there own. I wanted to play on my own it's been 2 years since I played and wanted the freedom of my own play so I did not get to play even after asking to play by myself like I booked
