The Club at Pine Forest
About
The 18 semi-private holes at Pine Forest wind through the tall Summerville pines with numerous live oaks, dogwoods and a lake system thrown in for good measure. With an equal balance of straightaways, doglegs and elevation changes, this course is nicely balanced, with challenges and fun in store for golfers of all levels. Rental clubs and electric carts are available.
At 6,905 yards with a 138-slope rating, Pine Forest lives up to its name, as the course has numerous barriers of tall Summerville pines to cause problems for an errant shot. The Bob Spence design also makes use of water to add to the difficulty of some holes. It's a semi-private course, and they've named each hole, with No. 12 being known as "Little Augusta" while No. 15 is "Wastelands."

Below Average
This course could be great but the fairways are poorly taken care of, they mowed on the wet fairways before we played, but the course was cart path only as it should've been, but there were tractor tire marks all through the fairways. On a normal day when it's perfect weather and not wet, this course is still more wet that others, and the fairways have way too many weeds, crabgrass, dallas grass, you name it ... the fringe on some holes is all crab grass or dallas grass, and in worse shape than the rough, impossible to putt from, and difficult to chip from. Tee boxes, although elevated slightly hold too much water, and it's tough to take a tee shot in standing water. The greens are covered in splotches of dirt hills and that causes putting to suffer.
Very Good Time
Met a. New friend Rick had a great time. 1 complaint it was 96 by noon but everything else was fine.
Great golf course
This is a great place to play! The layout is challenging but very playable. The staff are welcoming and friendly.
Punched Greens
Hopefully the maintenance on the greens will improved their quality and condition going forward.
Better greens would make this a much better course.
Wow that was bad…
I never leave bad reviews but this time I don’t have a choice… the greens are the most awful greens I’ve seen in a long time. Not sure what’s going on but they are so bad, might as well just putt in the rough…. Fairways are decent, tee boxes are very bad as well. Nice course layout so it’s very unfortunate the course is in such bad shape. Save your money and go somewhere else unless you don’t really care about course condition.
Wow this was bad…
Don’t waste your money here. There’s a reason it’s $30, but even that is high for the shape this course is in. Greens are the worst things I’ve seen in a long time. Would have been better to putt in the parking lot…
Don’t like leaving negative reviews but this was just so bad… I didn’t expect the course to be in top shape but this was just horrendous.
Pine Forest
Played here for the first time in a long time… the course conditions were very good, until you reach some of the greens. Some of the greens were as if someone took a blowtorch to the edges of some of them. It was surprising to see as the other times I played; I do not remember the greens being that bad.
Incredibly slow pace
Round was delayed by 30 min because course didn't have enough carts. No rangers on duty and the pace was backed up on every hole round took 5 an 1/2 hours
Challenging design
Well designed course with water on most holes. Some challenging multi-level greens.
No starter or marshall
A group of 6 was allowed to tee off in front of our group. Then another golfer joined and it ended up being 7 in the group. Called pro shop to no avail. Never had a problem before. Won't return!
