About
The 18 semi-private holes at Pine Forest wind through the tall Summerville pines with numerous live oaks, dogwoods and a lake system thrown in for good measure. With an equal balance of straightaways, doglegs and elevation changes, this course is nicely balanced, with challenges and fun in store for golfers of all levels. Rental clubs and electric carts are available.
At 6,905 yards with a 138-slope rating, Pine Forest lives up to its name, as the course has numerous barriers of tall Summerville pines to cause problems for an errant shot. The Bob Spence design also makes use of water to add to the difficulty of some holes. It's a semi-private course, and they've named each hole, with No. 12 being known as "Little Augusta" while No. 15 is "Wastelands."

Greens
The Greens were absolutely horrible. They were like muddy grass. Absolutely a disgrace to the game of golf.
Great course. Very busy
We felt rushed by the people behind us and held up by the people in front of us. It was just a really busy day. Other than that it was great! Lovely course.
Disappointed
I took two groups to the course today after seeing a 4 star rating on GolfNow. The layout was fine but the tee boxes and more importantly the greens were just trash. I mean hardly any grass at all. Sad as we traveled an hour to play it. The rating must have been fixed by members as it is semi private.
Slowest round ever
Don't know who is setting up the tee times or how many people are on the course at one time, but the pace of play at this golf course is HORRIBLE.
great course to challenge yourself
a few wet spots around from rain BUT the course simply posted 90 degree rule not cart path only. The greens are growing but very playable. The course makes you use most of your clubs. Great day out there. Already booked for tomorrow.
Great track!
First time playing here. Course has some great moments, and also some that need some prior knowledge (luckily I was playing with a regular). A lot of rain the night before, so there was some standing water, but nothing obscene. Greens were a bit hairy, so they were quite slow. Pace of play was also slow with a good bit of waiting, but it was Memorial Day, so that’s to be expected. Overall great course and would play again anytime!
Needing improvement
The course has always been in good condition but just recently playing there were a lot of burnt greens. Tee boxes were extremely hard and unable to use tees on a few. Will not be playing there for the rates they are charging now. There was no starter or anyone on the course to help with pace of play. Finished a round just over 5 hours. Typical round with my group takes 3-3.5 when we have four. This day we only had 3 in our group.
Nice but challenging course
Course was in good shape overall. Fairways are very hard, greens were fast, but a few were burnt and brown. Course requires accurate shots, couple blind water hazards, pay attention to hole overviews. Nice layout, worth the afternoon rate.
Good course
This is a nice course. They do need to update their cart paths and bridges. Cart paths are in bad shape through out the course. Bridges and wooden path ways to a few holes are in need of some TLC bad. All in all the course was good and fun to play.
