About

Holes 18
Type Semi-Private
Par 72
Length 6905 yards
Slope 138
Rating 73.9

The 18 semi-private holes at Pine Forest wind through the tall Summerville pines with numerous live oaks, dogwoods and a lake system thrown in for good measure. With an equal balance of straightaways, doglegs and elevation changes, this course is nicely balanced, with challenges and fun in store for golfers of all levels. Rental clubs and electric carts are available.

At 6,905 yards with a 138-slope rating, Pine Forest lives up to its name, as the course has numerous barriers of tall Summerville pines to cause problems for an errant shot. The Bob Spence design also makes use of water to add to the difficulty of some holes. It's a semi-private course, and they've named each hole, with No. 12 being known as "Little Augusta" while No. 15 is "Wastelands."

Greens are terrible

Greens are the worst I’ve played on and I live in the panhandle.

The greens were in miserable shape. I realize that they must aerate, however the poor condition went beyond that with large bare spots.

It was $30 and made it last minute but I’ve played hundreds of courses all over and these are the worst greens I’ve ever played. They were recently punched but that had nothing to do with it. They literally were dirt and had weeds growing in them. 2 pins were less than 6 feet from fringe and tee boxes were a complete mess. People were super nice but it took 2:45 to play front 9 on a Friday morning and greens were awful. Could be a good layout with nice homes around it but condition was atrocious.

DB

DO NOT PLAY THIS COURSE. Possibly the worst golf experience of my life. Greens have a fungus (see picture) and were un-puttable. The rough had seed heads growing on 10" tall crab grass stalks. Tee boxes are barren and uneven (see picture). It took 3 1/2 hours to play 9 holes. Got a Full refund from Golf Now.

Great course for the money

Lots of trees and water so bring extra balls. Very bumpy course the cart paths are almost undriveable. Greens arent in the best condition so don’t expect to your ball to stay on line fairways are decent a couple muddy spots as expected. Pace of play isn’t the best depending on time of play an average round is 4-5 hrs if you tee off around 12pm. Staff is really friendly & polite. Overall course is a 3.5 out of 5 but you almost can’t beat the hot deal pricing on this course.

Really good course.

My group and I had a great time on the course.

Really well kept and a beautiful layout.

Lots of long holes which is the only negative point. But who’s really moaning about that. Sets up for satisfying lay ups.

Over all a great course, will be back for sure

Best course for the money

I love this course. Even when wet it drains well. Very rarely do you have cart path only.
