The Club at Pine Forest

About
The 18 semi-private holes at Pine Forest wind through the tall Summerville pines with numerous live oaks, dogwoods and a lake system thrown in for good measure. With an equal balance of straightaways, doglegs and elevation changes, this course is nicely balanced, with challenges and fun in store for golfers of all levels. Rental clubs and electric carts are available.
At 6,905 yards with a 138-slope rating, Pine Forest lives up to its name, as the course has numerous barriers of tall Summerville pines to cause problems for an errant shot. The Bob Spence design also makes use of water to add to the difficulty of some holes. It's a semi-private course, and they've named each hole, with No. 12 being known as "Little Augusta" while No. 15 is "Wastelands."

Great Potential, Greens need attention
The greens were not what I would consider Country Club standard, more like a cut rate muni. Their was no consistency of speed or condition. They were mostly slow and almost all of them had areas with no grass.
The greens were in miserable shape. I realize that they must aerate, however the poor condition went beyond that with large bare spots.
They need to fix the cart paths and the greens are in ok conditions.
It was $30 and made it last minute but I’ve played hundreds of courses all over and these are the worst greens I’ve ever played. They were recently punched but that had nothing to do with it. They literally were dirt and had weeds growing in them. 2 pins were less than 6 feet from fringe and tee boxes were a complete mess. People were super nice but it took 2:45 to play front 9 on a Friday morning and greens were awful. Could be a good layout with nice homes around it but condition was atrocious.
DB
DO NOT PLAY THIS COURSE. Possibly the worst golf experience of my life. Greens have a fungus (see picture) and were un-puttable. The rough had seed heads growing on 10" tall crab grass stalks. Tee boxes are barren and uneven (see picture). It took 3 1/2 hours to play 9 holes. Got a Full refund from Golf Now.
Great Value
Awesome and super helpful staff, stepping up to deliver awesome customer service during these crazy times. Pace of play was a bit slow but comes with the game of golf. Thanks Y’all!
Really good course.
My group and I had a great time on the course.
Really well kept and a beautiful layout.
Lots of long holes which is the only negative point. But who’s really moaning about that. Sets up for satisfying lay ups.
Over all a great course, will be back for sure
Best course for the money
I love this course. Even when wet it drains well. Very rarely do you have cart path only.
Greens
The Greens were absolutely horrible. They were like muddy grass. Absolutely a disgrace to the game of golf.
Disappointed
I took two groups to the course today after seeing a 4 star rating on GolfNow. The layout was fine but the tee boxes and more importantly the greens were just trash. I mean hardly any grass at all. Sad as we traveled an hour to play it. The rating must have been fixed by members as it is semi private.
Slowest round ever
Don't know who is setting up the tee times or how many people are on the course at one time, but the pace of play at this golf course is HORRIBLE.
