#4 West is a cool short par three with several good tee angles into an undulating green. Photo submitted by DenisDotson on 03/28/2020

The best scenery is on #8 West - a long and testing par 5 along the Calabash River. Photo submitted by DenisDotson on 03/28/2020

Golfer Reviews
Very nice staff, nice course
I played the course as a twosome on September 16. The staff was very helpful, we were the last golfers in and yet they didn’t make us feel like we were making them wait. Course itself was nice, very few people on it so pace of play was excellent. Overall I would recommend this course.
great place
This golf course seems to appreciate you spending your time and money with them. They thanked me for coming, as have done in the past. Don't pass this one up for the course across the street!
Course was in great shape. I will definitely play The Pearl again.
Greens are great
I have been coming to the Pearl since 1987 when it opened. Was a 36 hole layout and although it is sad to see some of the better holes on the east course closed, the greens were as good as any I played in the area and the fairways were in good shape. The staff is great as well. Definitely will play again.
Needs a lot of works
Was expecting more for $70 on a weekday. Greens were alright but inconsistent hole to hole. Some sandy, some lush - assuming this is due to being punch recently. Unfortunately, the greens were the best part of the condition of the course. Fairways were patchy and best, unplayable at worst. Seems like it’s not being maintained at the level it should be for $70. Too much competition in this area for that price and these conditions. That said, not a terrible layout but not mind blowing by any stretch..
TRying a new course
Good course huge tournament going on with some of the other courses.
It is worth the drive from Myrtle BEach 35-40 min.
Golf with son
It is a little drive from Myrtle Beach but a good course. Just be careful of all the tournaments going on. 3 9 hole courses, we played the same 9 twice due to the tournaments. It was not a bad thing, got a better score on the back nine.
I would say it is worth the drive 35-40 from the pier.
Directions from golf now are not correct make sure you google it for proper directions. Other than that greens in awesome shape, roll true and challenging. Great place and did it in 3:50 minutes .
Not a 4 star course
Reading all the reviews, I was really looking forward to playing The Pearl. When we got there, the putting green was extremely slow as were the greens in the course. The course itself was in decent shape but definitely 4 stars and definitely not the price we paid. Overall the course, has a great layout and is challenging but the conditions were 3 star at best. If you enjoy playing slow greens, The Pearl is where you should play.
