#4 West is a cool short par three with several good tee angles into an undulating green. Photo submitted by DenisDotson on 03/28/2020

The best scenery is on #8 West - a long and testing par 5 along the Calabash River. Photo submitted by DenisDotson on 03/28/2020

Fun Course Worth Playing
Had played the East prior but first time on the West; the Pearl has 36 fun holes of golf. Played Pearl West on Labor Day which was a few days after a tropical storm doused the area. So the greens were very soft and very slow. Lots of water on the course and most bunkers had standing water. Otherwise the course was in good shape with only a few greens with bare spots and few spotty tee boxes. Good layout with a nice variety of lengths with all par 5s being on the long side. Nice finishing scenic holes along the Calabash river.
Only complaint was that I had intentionally booked the 1st tee time (7:30) as a single on GolfNow with the intent of playing in 2 1/2 hours. When I arrived at the course they said they had a policy of no singles off as the 1st tee time and had me wait for a twosome that had the 8:00 time. Still got around in about 3 1/2 hours and enjoyed the pairing.
Beautiful course
Very picturesque and well maintained; challenging but not to difficult for higher handicap golfers; very fast greens.
One of my favorites
The staff was excellent and very friendly.
The course was in very good condition and moderately challenging.
Excellent overall golfing experience.
Great layout poor conditions
My father and I played the West course, the course had a very good layout with fairly tight drives on the front 9 and a little more open on the back. The problem was that the greens had been saturated and balls plugged on every green, the largest plugs I have ever seen actually. The greens were spotty and threadbare in spots as well. It wasn't very expensive so not terrible for the money. The starters were very helpful, we did have the first time of the day so that might account for the soggy green conditions.
Pearl East
Great Course, Great condition, Just wish we played better, LOL! I will definitely play it again after some more practice.
Nice course
Nice layout, nice burmuda greens, trees and water are in play most holes. Great staff.
Good round
Last minute ability to play and was very close to my condo. Showed up and pleasant surprise with good grass fairways, smooth putting greens. Bunkers were ok too. I would play again
Great layout
Great layout and great course conditions.
Not bad.
I played the west. It was in great shape. Course is above average for the area. And price was about average. Was drier than other courses in the area for amount of rain that had been put down in days before we played. Definitely worth the money?
Vanilla Review
Course layout okay. Greens were ridiculously soft and slow. Really unusual process by starters. If you want to warm up on the range or putting green count on carrying your bag . Not a bad experience but would choose not to play the course again
Good time
Fairways in great shape. Greens very wet and soft. Just walking on greens left marks. Pace of play was very slow. The staff did little to pick the pace up until we were 6 holes in and 2.5 hours and at that point it was too late. Still enjoyed because I was not in a rush.
Out of towners win again
We always try to hit a new course or two while on vacation and this one was definitely a winner. Great value and course for the area. We aren't great golfers but we have fun. The course was in great shape, the layout was challenging but not too hard, pace of play was great, and the staff is super helpful. All around great experience.
The Pearl East wasn't ..a "pearl"
While I got a great rate the pro in the shop, nor the starter informed us they had punched and top dressed the Greens. While driving in the West course greens looked perfect. The layout was fine, but at least tell me the greens have been top dressed with sand....
Great courses and very friendly staff
I got my best score ever and everyone at the course wanted to celebrate with me we played the East course where the greens weren't plush but I managed to get me best time overall score. Had a Great time!
Resort style course
Great course for any golfer. Resort style feel but in the woods.
Loved this course
The course is in great shape and has a gorgeous layout. We will definitely play the course again in the future.
Great courses
Moved here in January. I have played 22 different courses since moving here. By far, the courses at the Pearl have become my favorites. A fair test of golf, at reasonable rates!!!!!
Greens punched one week ago
Greens were like being on the beach. Straight sand. Asked the guy in club house how the course was and he informed us about the greens. Said gold now had all the info and should have posted it. Wasn't his fault, he said. Cart girl met us on first tee to advise
She was leaving for the day.
Pearl East
Beautiful layout and views. Fairway was burnt up in spots and greens were nothing like the practice green. Practice green was immaculate where the playing greens were not so much. But overall, a great experience.
