Sterling Hills Golf Club

First time playing at sterling. Great staff and cart girls.

They even include a good ticket. Great value for the round. Would come back to play again!

My wife and I played a round on Labor Day. We love coming to this course because you get a meal ticket with your round as well as small range bucket. Course was in really great shape and you can’t tell they have made some upgrades

Very enjoyable track located in Camarillo area. Very nice fairways with challenging greens. Very much worth the fees.

Beautiful day in Camarillo to enjoy a well maintained course. Greens and fairways in excellent shape to present a very challenging layout. Greens have tricky reading slopes and roll on the quicker side. Definitely put Sterling Hills in your local golf course rotation!

Overall I had fun playing. The course should've been more greener and the greens cut lower.

First & foremost (& this is gonna sound trivial)

The snack shack soda fountain has drinks that tastes like soap. I've mentioned it to the staff for 2 years now but they've done nothing to fix it. The food is GOOD but when coupled with a Pepsi that has a soapy aftertaste it ruins the experience.

The bunkers desperately need sand. I like playing out of bunkers except when I'm hitting off of clay. The thin layer of sand is covering a hard packed clay underneath.

We didn't see a Marshall or course ambassador to help keep the pace of play going so we waited on just about every hole for every shot. It's a short course (par 71) & it shouldn't take 5 hours to play a round of golf.

The guys there are very nice and helpful. A small bucket and a sandwich is a nice part of the deal. But you're there to play and this track is worthy for gold tips and white tees and what's in between. Greens were true if not fast and the fairways were grassy if quite wet in the early morning which is not unexpected in Camarillo. Course had no wind to speak of. Bunkers were firm but raked.. rough was fair and you have s lot of room to avoid it. Push carts are welcomed. This is a nice option.

I was so impressed with this course, how well-maintained, challenging and beautiful, that I played it three times this week while vacationing in the area.

I like the course and use to play it often. After Covid the cost to play for us veterans and seniors is way to high.

The only way we can play is through Golf Now-Pass but we have very limited tee times.

My thoughts are to make us veterans and Seniors better arrangements!

If you call the course directly you get free range balls and a meal ticket.

It is a nice course though I think for what it is, they’re asking too much money. I played it during a hot deal. Price and I still had to pay another $18 for me to have a cart. Usually when you get a hot deal, the cart is included. If I wouldn’t have booked the hot deal, I would’ve gotten a bucket of balls to hit and a ticket for a meal I guess. For the price of the course which seems would’ve cost around $65-$75 to play if I wouldn’t have had the hot deal I think it’s better to play other courses in the areas. Like Olivas links or los Robles. I can’t say that the staff is the friendliest at the golf shop. The Marshall was friendly but the staff behind the counter didn’t have the best energy.
