Sterling Hills Golf Club

four of us played this past Sunday, tee time 1:50. Surprisingly played in 4 hours!! Plus we got a free lunch at the turn. Greens in very good shape. They had a cart girl driving around for snacks and beverages. They had a marshal also driving around in case any issues.

Fifteen minutes from my house and can always get a tee time, even if I book one day before. May not be my ideal time but still get to play 18 holes.

It was a fun day. The group ahead was a little slow on the back nine. The tee boxes need a little restoration, but the fairways and greens were in good shape. Like most courses these days, the rough is really rough. If the balls roll off the fairway, good luck finding it. Bring a supply. Like many other courses, more directional signs to the next hole would be very helpful. I got lost once or twice and that wastes time.

Please get sand for the bunkers!

I have noticed that you have done a few bunkers so far. But there are too many bunkers with absolutely no sand in them. Not good.

I enjoy the course and play there a lot.

Staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful. Course layout was interesting and challenging. Views were beautiful.

Food and beverage service was great, easily accessible and the food was delicious.

Pool reactive facilities were available and sufficient.

The staff managed pace of play consistently and effectively.

Overall it was a great experience and one to which I definitely plan to return.

Course itself is great, and the staff was great as well. Knew it was going to be somewhat slow due to the holiday, but we left after 9 holes when it took a little over 3 hours to get through the front. We would have been lucky to finish 18 before dark. Driving range was hitting off the grass, but not a single patch of actual grass to hit off of. Food available with the meal ticket is great.

Played here and shot my lowest score ever! Loved the course layout and conditions, especially the back 9. I especially enjoyed the free drink ticket and small bucket of balls provided with the greens fee.

Very consistent but they pack the course. So we had people on us even with a 3,5 hour pace of play. No one was in front. The course pain was transferred to my shoes and gear this was unusual.

Overall I got a good deal on GolfNow.

Finished the 18th in the dark but it was worth it for a Friday late round. Pace of play due to novice golfers taking too long. Can’t help that other than educate golfers about pace of play pointers through the website maybe?

Great day for golf and the course played well. Perfect day whether wise and couldn't ask for better conditions.

I dont understand why sand traps are so hard

They are not sand more like concrete.

I was in 2 traps for the day and both of them were hard hard and my sand wedge would not dig into the (sand) ???? Sterling is charging a preminum and the fairways and traps should be in great shape. The fairways are also hard

and I noticed there are areas that are losing full grass coverage. I hope this only temporary

and if it doesn't improve We will go to other courses that are in better shape

The course was fun, and the greens were interesting. However, the pace of play was horrible. 5 1/2hour round.
