Sterling Hills Golf Club

Played today with 3 others. Some of the greens had just been dressed but they were still very fast. The fairways were average with a lot of bare spots. I like the course because the greens are very challenging.

I had fun though my score doesn’t show it. Greens were great. Tee boxes need some work and some of the fairways were over watered. But I’d for sure be back now knowing what to expect.

We really had a good time at this course yesterday. The conditions were good, the layout is fun while challenging and the staff was very easy to work with upon checking in. .Some individuals in pro shops clearly are unhappy with their job (you all know what I mean) and it makes for the initial impression of a course to be a negative one. Not with these guys.. Keep it up and law’ll see you again soon.

Pa, their complimentary lunch offer with some of their reservations is a great touch too. it separates this course from some others when deciding where to spend your money.

The staff is always awesome to deal with! Check in is always fast! Course has gotten so much better! Greens are perfect!

As a left handed golfer I normally steer clear of fair way bunkers. But today I found three. Great placement to make easy fairways more challenging. For a residential course. This course was very easy and very technical on some holes. Great par three over water blocked by sand and a miniature golf style break in the middle of the green. I would definitely play again when I’m in the area.

2nd time we played. Good condition. Like all golf, if you play conservative, it is easier. The clubhouse staff is a bit "stressed" or something. Not exactly friendly. The marshals are much more relaxed and in a good mood. It is a nice course. Very fair. Weather is perfect!

I have played Sterling Hills for years and with the way they treated myself and my golf partner was absolutely unacceptable. I called into the clubhouse and let them know I would be about 10 minutes late due to traffic driving out to the course. This is my distance I am coming from to play this course. I actually played a golf tournament in the area last weekend. What was upsetting is that the starter and his starter guy at the tee box area where very rude and forceful in their speech when talking to first my partner while he was waiting and then when I arrived after waiting for my cart he is setting there with a walkie talkie and telling me I needed to go back up to the clubhouse and let them know my partner was gone. So to stop myself from getting into it with the other person and i'm holding back what I really want to call them I decided that I was not going to be pushed back 2 hours when I saw a few 3 somes go out. I wasn't even the 10 mins late that I projected and these 2 old dudes were acting as if they own that public course. I will be Yelping this same information as well. I hope GolfNow will provide me with some type of credit. Neither of us played and we both felt disrespected.

Very challenging greens but fair. Definitely not a walking course. Many elevation changes and long walks from greens to the next tee.

11:23 tee time - checked in 10:45 - told it was to early to get cart - had to drag our bags from car - people show up and just jump into carts - finally at 11:35 was called to pick up cart and start our round -

Always a challenging course. With blind holes and fairway bunkers. The staff is great!!
