Victoria Golf Course

About
The Links at Victoria Golf Course has a convenient location in Carson that is easily accessible from the South Bay, downtown Los Angeles, or Orange County. William Bell, the mastermind who crafted the Torrey Pines courses, also designed the Links at Victoria. The course has a traditional design that features wide, gently undulating fairways and large, well manicured greens. It's not an overly challenging course but there are some holes that will make you think and you'll find that accuracy and a good strategy are both generously rewarded. The wide-openness of the front nine provides a gentle start to the golf course while the tighter back mine presents greater challenges. It's a good round for learning beginners and more advanced golfers will find it to be a fun, quick round for an affordable price.

Mostly dirt, nice greens! Photo submitted by LeeDaBord on 08/31/2013
Seeing improvements
Greens are in pretty good shape. Most tee boxes also in good shape, some are too soft however. Course is starting to improve some of the fairways, but most are still just dirt.
No more free stuff
We played there a lot a year ago because you got a free sleeve of balls and a hot dog. New owners no more free stuff. Still the price is low but the fairways are miserable, it’s a landfill so I guess you get what you pay for. We will not return.
Best course for your money
I know I know. This is the worst golf course in America due to YouTube. I honestly think this is the best value in LA county to practice your game in terms of tee shots/ putting/ chipping. I played twice already and finished my round under 4 hours (I played solo once and finished in 3 hours). At $23-25 per player with golf cart, I honestly think it's worth it due to above average green/fringe condition and decent tee boxes. There is some patch of grass nowadays on fairways so I usually just pick my golf ball from dirt (yeah play as it lies is stupid for golf course like this) and place it on some grass / rough for approach shots. Just use $1 golf balls since you will lose some balls due to poor fairways/ gopher holes.
Let's call a spade a spade
There is realistically no fairways. It's only dirt. Greens and chipping areas are improved. I booked a 540 tee time and pro shop staff opened at 630. All arround weird day. Shot 86 which all things considered was a fine score. If they hire more people to expedite the fairway rehabilitation it would be a very forgiving course for beginner golfers. Driving range and chipping area are really what I come here for .
Mudd pit golf
I was wondering why they had so many time slots open on Saturday morning ! Now I know ! Only 2 holes had grass !! The rest was mudd and dirt !
The worst golf course I played In
I'm extremely disappointed with my experience yesterday. Despite my excitement to play, the course failed to meet my expectations.
the course conditions were really bad. The greens were patchy and uneven, and the fairways were littered with divots and debris. Also it was just dirt on the fairways. The whole course was one big sand pit It was clear that the course had not been properly
Overall, my experience was a letdown, and I would not recommend it to anyone. With so many other great courses in the area, there's no reason to settle for subpar conditions.
Rating: 1/5 stars
Fairways are ugly but 🤷♂️
The fairways leave a lot to be desired, and the edges of the course are wildly overgrown. The greens run good, the layout is fantastic, and you can’t beat the price.
Ball will be lost
Not kept at all you will lose balls in the middle of the fairway.
Good price tho will probably go back based on price lol
