The Links at Victoria Golf Course has a convenient location in Carson that is easily accessible from the South Bay, downtown Los Angeles, or Orange County. William Bell, the mastermind who crafted the Torrey Pines courses, also designed the Links at Victoria. The course has a traditional design that features wide, gently undulating fairways and large, well manicured greens. It's not an overly challenging course but there are some holes that will make you think and you'll find that accuracy and a good strategy are both generously rewarded. The wide-openness of the front nine provides a gentle start to the golf course while the tighter back mine presents greater challenges. It's a good round for learning beginners and more advanced golfers will find it to be a fun, quick round for an affordable price.

For the amount of money you pay, you should just hit the practice range for a couple of hours

Great Value

I don't want to see any more reviews talking about the fairways conditions as it's a known fact. The course even says so on their website. The greens are very puttable and are the best part about this course. This time, I brought a short tee if I couldn't find any adjacent grass areas to place my ball. I'd recommend walking as the cart ride is extremely bumpy with all of the uneven terrain. Just play this course as a practice facility and don't expect much more until the management can make the fairways better. I played in a little over 3 hours and hit 3-5 balls on my tee shots and 2-3 balls in the fairways. Staff was very nice and accomodating.

Complete trash

Evidently the condition of this place is legendary.

All dirt fairways, bad bunkers, decent teeboxes and greens.

It’s horrible, but the worst is how much they charge for the “experience”

Also, why do I have to book a tee time for 2 people if it’s only me? Yeah, that’s how crumby this course is, they make you buy two teetimes unless you go in person without a slot.

Do not play here

This is the worst course I’ve ever played. The front of the course is made to look nice so you will want to play but this course is awful. Only about 1 hole has grass all the way to the green. I didn’t even make it through a whole round. Pay to play this course at your own risk. It’s a shame because the driving range is actually pretty nice.

Pure Dirt Fairways

Many fairways were entirely dirt. Not just patches of dirt…the ENTIRE fairway. Very poorly kept course, it almost feels as if they are trying to keep grass from growing. Greens were alright though.

Course should be closed !

Sorry to say worst conditions I have ever seen

14 of the 18 holes had no grass at all in the fairways

Literally played lift clean and move to nearest patch of grass by sprinkler head

Heard there will be management changes soon ?

Layout was ok, greens ok, Range was nice

Many courses are on landfills ! That is no excuse

Hope they fix this place !

Area needs the course !

Baron Land

No grass on the fairways. Dirt, animal holes and a sometime lump of grass until you get to the green. There you will find rough, first cut and greens. Greens were fine still healing from an aeration. Will not be back again

Great value for play

The course offers a challenging play for what you’re paying for. Course fairways are very rough but the greens are in great condition. Fairly new player and the whole round took about 5 hours. I would go

Again when the course is in better condition.

Grumpy old guy at counter

I know going into it. This is the dog track of dog tracks however I was graded by a grumpy old guy that gave me a hard time and acted like I was a problem when I simply showed up and tried to play a round of golf that I booked

Dirt lot

I am sure that this course will be nice when the fairways return to a condition of having grass. My guess is that it’s currently under construction and there is no grass making up the fairways I would be hard-pressed to play on dirt, even if I was getting paid to do so fortunately, until the conditions improve review of the course has to be negative

Used cart

As Expected For the Price

5 hour round because of newbies and LOTS of time searching for balls that would be easy to spot on grass. Seems like they may be short on carts too- had to wait and no distances or electronic features. It appears that they have attempted to "tend" small patches along the fairway, so playing it for practice, was easy to drop on the nearest green spot. Greens and tee boxes average for public courses in the area. Nice warm-up area with range, chipping area, and a couple of putting greens.

It is so bad you might think it is a joke….

Let me begin by saying I am not a member at Augusta national, and I play to a solid 15 handicap. I play the game for fun and don’t ask for too much out of a golf course.

However, this place should not even be allowed to call itself a golf course. I am not joking. Any of these reviews to tell you this place is improving getting better, blah blah blah if that’s the case, God help them.

Being generous, maybe 15% of this dirt track has any grass at all. The grass is there ranges from 1 inch to 3 inches in length in each square yard so if you’re lucky enough to land on the grass, you could be in U.S. Open rough.

This piece of garbage is not even good for practice unless you’re going to be playing on the moon. The only good lie on that golf course is off the car path and I am not joking. If you got a free golf pass to play there it’s still not enough you need to be paid to go out and suffer through that everything is ground under repair disaster they call a golf course

Do the world favor and put up apartments where those stupid fairways are at least I think they’re fairways. They look more like mining roads.

In the word, horrible stay away at all costs. Apologies for any typos from my silly Apple phone voice recognition.
