About
The Links at Victoria Golf Course has a convenient location in Carson that is easily accessible from the South Bay, downtown Los Angeles, or Orange County. William Bell, the mastermind who crafted the Torrey Pines courses, also designed the Links at Victoria. The course has a traditional design that features wide, gently undulating fairways and large, well manicured greens. It's not an overly challenging course but there are some holes that will make you think and you'll find that accuracy and a good strategy are both generously rewarded. The wide-openness of the front nine provides a gentle start to the golf course while the tighter back mine presents greater challenges. It's a good round for learning beginners and more advanced golfers will find it to be a fun, quick round for an affordable price.

If you like playing off the dirt
This course is for you. I thought, "How bad could it be." But it is that bad. I was surprised that the greens are actually fine. But the fairways are more dirt than grass. Its really too bad. If this course could get some TLC it would be a good course. Do they even have a sprinkler system.

Fairways???
I've been playing this course for 20 years, and this is the worst I've seen the fairways. Hardly any grass, gopher holes everywhere, and the dirt is very hard, so be careful if you guys play forged clubs. Also, the bunkers are rock hard, so be careful in there.
I continue to play here because I work close by, and getting out to play 18 with a cart for $27, in 3 hours isn't that bad (after 3pm).
Advise to management.... More yardage markers please! There are some holes that you have no clue how far out you are, if you can't find the 150 yard marker in the middle of the fairway.

Do not play until they fix their fairways.
Saw pictures online, and it looked like a beautiful course. We go there to play 18 and the fairways has no grass, it was all dirt and sand - besides a few patches. We had to pick our balls up and put it on a small grass batch to make it worth our money, The greens and tee boxes were fine, but the fairways weren't even worth a dollar.

Needs work
The course is in awful condition no grass holes everywhere this course needs a lot of work.

Long story short…
Could’ve been a nice place with decent layout if they we’re properly maintained
City must’ve abandoned this place since COVID
95% dirt (no green you cant even see your golf balls)
Its not cheap but they gave me sleeve of balls (you’ll figure out why). and hot dog for each player after 9th hole
(beers are cheap. Under 5 bux)
If you are willing to play, make sure to bring your old set of golf club (my forged irons became “ouch”)

Great if greens are what matter to you
I played there 2 years ago and was surprised by the course conditions. Yes most of the reviews here tell you to avoid this place because the fairways are awful etc… But if you want a good layout (better than most OC courses) and great greens than Victoria is the one.
I would argue that the questionable lies in the fairways are actually a positive since they are great practice for contact.
Greens rolled surprisingly fast and true, which is (in my opinion) what matters most.
If you’re looking for green lush fairways, this isn’t the place, but if you care about greens and layout then you should give it a chance. Staff was awesome and they give you a sleeve of balls and hot dog with your green fee. I’ll go there again!

Worst course in America
Golf now should not be allowed to sell this golf course online. The photos are a complete misrepresentation of the course. Every single far way is solid dirt! The course and golf now Should pay me lost time for playing here! This is unequivocally the worst course in America!

Worst Course in LA.
The conditions of this course are easily the worst I’ve played anywhere in my 30 years golfing. The fairways are hard compact dirt and rocks, and the entire course is pockmarked with insane amounts of Gopher holes. They also consistently run out of carts.
It’s not a bad layout, but there has been zero dollars spent on course maintenance in the few years.
The best part about this course is the driving range, it’s a shame really because there is so much potential, but I’d recommend playing anywhere else.

They have lost the course. The greens are ok but the rest of the course looks like the day after the apocalypse.

Tip
Course needs a lot of work.... like a lot of work. Staff is friendly and the range is really nice if you can find a stall. A good portion of the fairways have dirt patches and some are all dirt. I usually play the back 9 because those fairways are in better conditions. It’s a good course to practice your game given that there is no traffic.

They gave up except for the greens
Worst course conditions I’ve ever seen. The fairways are literally either bare or it’s a minefield of groundhog holes. The greens were nice but I’m pretty sure the county has completely abandoned hope in caring for this course. Wont play here again

I've Player better Cow Pastures
This course simply should not be allowed to function as a golf course. Beyond unacceptable. While the greens are in good shape, the fairways and bunkers are atrocious. The fairways are a series of thousands of gophers holes, (no grass, only weeds, and both holes and dirt mounds), and the bunkers are like concrete mix. And I'm not kidding. Would have quit and not played, but I'm from out of town and was with a couple of friends.
