About
The 18-hole Dogwood Trace Golf Course (formerly known as Lee Park Golf Course) in Petersburg, VA is a public golf course. Stretching over 6600 yards from the back tees while playing to a par 72 the course features four different sets of tee boxes and can be enjoyed by players of all skill levels. Players will find extensive bunkering lakes and ponds with bulkheads that come into play on several holes and well-manicured challenging greens.

Great course. I will go back.
The course was in excellent condition....fairways were pristine and the greens were in fabulous shape. I really enjoyed my round , can't think of any negatives. I will go back soon.
Sweet course
Great course for the money. Was behind a few slow players but nothing to interfere with us. Water and wooded areas keep the ball straight!

Great conditions not so great course.
Course conditions were fantastic. The maintenance staff is to be commended. The young man in the proshop was also great. Not a fan of the course itself. The holes are laid out very tight. We were ducking for cover on most holes. Pace of play was poor as well. Front 9 was not bad, but waited constantly on the back. 15th hole took approximately 35 minutes to play and 16 was so backed up we left the course .Marshals were constantly cruising the course but didn't help.

First green was a little rough (mostly from careless golfers) but after that the course is in great shape!
Course in great condition
Played in rain, had golf now reservation so why not. Course from tee to green in excellent condition. Nice layout with fairways forgiving enough for middle handicapper. Enough variety of hole layouts to make very enjoyable round. We could not believe how well the greens were running in such poor conditions , but we're in great condition. Work with friend I played here with and his only question is when are we going back. Will be very soon.
This Couse always in great condition
OverallGreens are fast but true. Rough is rough and will cost you stokes. Must hit fairway on some holes to make green in regulation.
Dogwood Chase rating
The course condition is the best I've encountered in the Greater Richmond area. Teeboxes, fairways and greens are in excellent condition. I'll definitely revisit the course soon.
Don't Miss this one....
Petersburg Va. Is trying to re-invent their City and has gone a long way buy making this one of the Finest courses in the state.
The course is ABSOLUTELY Beautiful, The Staff is first class in every way from the Starter and Marshal to The Club house Cashier,
They treat you like YOU are the only customer that matters.
Keep it up....Good things are starting to come to a City that has a plan.
The course was in excellent condition.
Very fun round of golf on a well manicured course and good pace of play. The only disappointment I had was players not fixing their ball marks on the greens. I was always fixing my ball mark and several others on every green. I fault the players not the course.

Lush and well maintained over all.
Greens were perfect, fairways nice and rough was reasonable. Backside has more water, most not in play once you figure out where it is. Was hard to find the greens the first time there. Slow 5 some held us up all day and nobody seemed to fix ball marks or rake traps any where. Locals "run" the course it seems and do what they want, ran carts everywhere regardless of signs. No rangers on the course. The course is nice but will eventually deteriorate if rules are not enforce. Loved the course and the staff.
Great place to play
Came out as a single and paired up with a 3some on back 9. Pace of play was very good. Weather was overcast and threat of rain (and had rained the night before) but course was in excellent shape and carts were 90 degrees. Greens and fairways excellent. Always a good place to play.

Has a few tough holes but course difficulty is moderate and I enjoy playing it and certainly will play again.
Great value, very good condition.
The course was in very good condition, I enjoyed playing. It is very a very up and down course so you find balls from other holes in your fairway very often (or even on your tee box).

Well Worth the Drive from Richmond
The greens, fairways and tees were all in great shape. Only the clubhouse disappointed, but I read that they will begin construction on a new clubhouse soon. I will definitely be returning to this course, it is one of the best values in the area.
