About
Stumpy Lake Golf Course is a Robert Trent Jones design that provides a unique golfing experience. This scenic layout is routed across a 1,400-acre nature preserve that is absent of any commercial or residential development for miles. The golf course wraps around its namesake lake, which has a canoe and kayak launch as well as a fishing pier. Deer, fox, and eagles are frequently seen on the course and there has even been the occasional bear sighting. Water has a prominent presence throughout and there are also several strategically placed bunkers. Stumpy Lake Golf Course is a layout that will force you to be creative with your shot making but it's still approachable enough for high handicappers to tackle with confidence. If you're looking to get in even more golf, sister club Honey Bee is located almost right next door.

Good course
Highly recommend this course. Greens are in good condition and fairways are maintained.

Course was a little spongy in spots, but in great shape.

Tee boxes need major work - greens were well kept…
Above average for the price
Got a deal online. Pace was very slow, backed up from hole 1 on. Tee boxes were hard and in bad shape, but fairways and greens were good.
Hardest ground ever at the tees
Really enjoyed this course except for one thing. It’s almost impossible to get your tee in the ground at certain holes. To the point where you’re looking for broken ones since they’re sharper.
Tough in wet conditions....
The course is beautiful but in all fairness it's tough when we've had a lot of rain. That being said, I cannot say enough great things about the staff at this course. The starter not only made the day but provided comic relief as we were wrapping up.
Wet and SLOW!!!!
We had a 10:33am Tee time, they were sop backed up we didn't tee off until 11:15am. With no Marshall to help with pace of play, it was slow! We had a group in front of us always expecting that "once in a lifetime" golf shot. 250yds out???? "I got this!" as they hit their second shot, from short of the lady's tees, about 50yds. Even with it being soaking wet, and the group in front having a special cart for a handicapped golfer, they took FOREVER! We had a good hole to hole and a half open ahead of them, ALL DAY!
Easy, comfortable course
Not gonna really challenge any sort of skill level, but it's so comfortable and relaxing to play at.
