About
Stumpy Lake Golf Course is a Robert Trent Jones design that provides a unique golfing experience. This scenic layout is routed across a 1,400-acre nature preserve that is absent of any commercial or residential development for miles. The golf course wraps around its namesake lake, which has a canoe and kayak launch as well as a fishing pier. Deer, fox, and eagles are frequently seen on the course and there has even been the occasional bear sighting. Water has a prominent presence throughout and there are also several strategically placed bunkers. Stumpy Lake Golf Course is a layout that will force you to be creative with your shot making but it's still approachable enough for high handicappers to tackle with confidence. If you're looking to get in even more golf, sister club Honey Bee is located almost right next door.

Good course
I think it's a good course But it is not a 40 to $45 course The fairways are not $45 a dollars worth the greensAre not 40 $45 worth I playedThe Day After Christmas and I had to quit after 9 holes because it was so slow it took me almost 3 hours to play 9 holes didn't see know one out there trying to speed up play.
Great last minute value!
Got off as the first group and played in 3.5 hours. Course was in good shape for the weather. I would definitely play this course again.
Enjoyable
I’ve played this course 4 or 5 times. I love the layout and fast greens. Nice middle ground difficulty. Course conditions were not the best today. Course does not drain well. Overall very enjoyable course. Will come back and recommend.
Very Nice
Nice wide fairways - very fair. A few green were in bad shape, but overall course was very nice
Waste of money
I can’t believe this course has the audacity to charge people $45/$50for a round when three quarters of the greens look as if they’ve been set on fire or dried out to the point they look cracked like the desert floor. Tee boxes were hard as a rock. This was by far the worst course I’ve ever played.
Poor conditions
Course layout is great. Course conditions are horrible. Looks as if the greens were hit my asteroids. Tee boxes are hard as concrete. Nearly impossible to get a tee in the ground. Most bunkers are so hard that you can even make a divit or kick up sand on shots. I understand we haven't had rain but it seems as if they don't water anything at all. Won't play here until they improve!

Enjoyed this course several years ago but was disappointed this round.
Let it dry out
The course is fun and in good condition. Except the water. The course needs a day or 2 to dry out. Cart path only and it actually needs to be.

Highly recommend this course. Greens are in good condition and fairways are maintained.
