Golfer Reviews
Nice Course with some challanges
The course was in good shape considering the time of the year. The greens were extremely fast and in great shape. It has some challenging holes for sure. Price was right. In fact I turned around and played another 18 for $40,00 that day. I will put it on my list to play again. The staff was great and I was paired with a good group of long time members from Canada.
From riches to rags.
I’ve been playing this golf course for over 25 years. It used to be so nice and I don’t know what happened. The fairways are pretty decent. The greens look good from far but are far from good. They are so bumpy. They are slow and you can hit a putt right on your line and watch your ball bounce at least 3 times away from the hole one way or another on a 5 foot putt. The tee boxes are pretty crappy as well. I am a golf pass member and got a discount and got the holiday discount and it still cost me $75 per person. The hot deal originally came out to $95 after tax per person, on a hot deal. They are charging well over $100 for a round. If they keep doing this. They are not gonna last and that will really suck because it’s a nice course that has gone totally downhill. I hope they do something and start putting more money and love and care into what used to be a Gem.
Slow
If you want to do your taxes, read the encyclopedia, apply to jobs, watch the hobbit series in between tee shots then this is the course for you. We knew we were in for a long day when we showed up and they did not have any carts available. We got through 15 holes and it took 4.5 hours. Course was pure though for the price. Would not play here ever again.
Loved the Coarse!
Awesome coarse! Some spots needed tending looked tended to!
Not worth the price
Greens are brutal right now, charged $70 which isn’t crazy expensive but not worth the condition of the course. This course has drastically gone down hill over the last few years. It’s a shame
I do not recommend this course in any aspect
Slow greens, horrible sand traps
The greens were slow and the sand traps were horrible-more like waste areas-fairways were good, rough was tough to find the ball in! Lots of water!!
Getting back to the way it used to be.
This used to be a premium track in the area. An equipment shed fire a couple.yeara ago seemed to lead to the course slowly falling into disrepair. I am happy to report that things are on the way back up. Was happy to see many freshly resodded tee boxes and numerous green surrounds that have been repaired and resodded. There was a visible presence of maintenance staff working on things throughout the course. It's always been a great layout and really tough course. Would like to see some.work.done on the bunkers next and that will have it back to where it needs to be.
Don't play on Monday mornings
I play monthly with my dad, who’s in his 70s. During our September round, we were paired with another twosome for a morning tee time. On the 7th hole (a par 4), a ranger approached us because the group behind had complained about our pace of play. At the time, we were on the tee box while the group ahead of us was still on the green—clearly, we weren’t holding anyone up.
The group behind us appeared to be part of the course’s men’s club. They looked to be in their 50s but were playing from the red tees. It felt like this was a common setup at the course, and I was disappointed that the staff prioritized their pace over a properly spaced foursome.
Despite the interruption, we finished the front nine in under two hours and completed 18 holes in exactly four hours—well within normal pace standards. Given the experience, I won’t be returning to this course.
