James, the starter is one of the best and friendliest staff at any golf course. Quick round where everyone who was a bit slower let me play through. Green was decent speed and rolling true ( a bit sandy). Course was very simple except for 2 holes where water truly comes into play..(though there’s water visible for all 18 holes. Rough was cut short so… almost felt like it is fairway. if you play from the tourny tee… it would be difficult at the current condition.

No food or drink cart on Mondays. .

Would consider to come back. Difficult to get a UBer but Lyft was easy to use.

The course was one of the better courses I have played at that price point. The fairway had that soft carpet feel and the greens were fast! The starter James was very friendly and informative. He also took a picture of our group before tee off. We had an amazing time and will be returning soon.

James, our starter, gave us the low down about the fairways, boundaries, green conditions, and included guidance on amenities. He claimed the course was going to be spotless, and it certainly was. Will be coming back soon.

Your web site really sucks. Really. You’ve made the easy to be difficult. I’m still trying to figure out how to cancel a tee time. Obviously calling the golf pro shop is the easiest method. Thanks for nothing. Keep on marketing all the exstrenious stuff

Played during the afternoon and was amazed at the condition of the course for the price. Greens had been sanded but still rolled true and fast. Fairways were lush and the rough manageable. The starter was the highlight of the day. James was part historian, comedian and course Marshall. Go play and ask for James.

The Staff was the best thing about this course. There club manger and starter are the nicest people you would want to meet. They treated us like we paid full price. The day we were to play it was raining and terible. We were give a raincheck without any hassle. We made T time for this day. Course is very pretty and in good shape. the Starter went out of his way to help us and they had marshall to maintain pace of play which we loved. Facilty is beautiful with good food and prices were about normal . Will play again when I can get anotther Hot Deal from Golf Now.

My wife and I were in New Orleans for a break and my clubs travel with me wherever I go. I contacted the team at English Turn before arriving in New Orleans to set up around for the Monday afternoon (course opens at midday on a Monday). As a single they set me up to to get out early. I met James (a retired Marine) the starter on the 1st tee. What a great guy. Gave me all the info I needed, and even kindly took a couple of photos of me and the good lady (she accompanied me around the course) on the 1st. The course was in decent shape. The rough had been cut down, so whilst the ball did drop to the bottom, as long as you keep an eye on where it went, you weren't likely to lose a ball. The only shame about the course was that they had just sanded the greens, but even then the greens were still reasonably quick. As I was a first timer at English Turn, I bought a yardage book, and found it very helpful to plot my way around. I short sided myself a few times, which cost me shots....but a one over 77 wasn't too bad. If I return to New Orleans in the future, I would happily play the course again. Thanks go to Mike and Steve for setting up my round and looking after us on the day.

Visiting in a bachelor party, awesome course and experience. Jamie the starter gave the best course breakdown and intro I’ve ever seen and offered to take our pictures as well. All staff was great, course in awesome condition. No complaints at all.

James the starter was phenomenal. The rest of the staff was awesome!! Course couldn’t be in better shape. Highly recommend!!!!

The course was extremely wet but was a lot of fun to play. James, the starter, did a great job explaining and the nuances of English Turn.

Playing at English Turn for the first time was a great experience! We were greeted by the starter — James — which provided a great overview of the course, history of the course, and where all stations are located.

Additionally, playing golf for the past weeks has been challenging due to the rain; however, English Turn’s course was in great condition and their drainage system must be one for the books.

Definitely will visit again! Challenging holes and even better greens
