English Turn Golf & Country Club

I can’t understate how bad the course conditions are at this time! Tee boxes (Blue tees) looked like they hadn’t been moved in weeks. The fairways to be fair where good (very thin) but good. However most importantly the greens were literally dead in a lot of spots( not dormant). At best I would pay $30 to play only because the layout is so cool. Tons of options around the greens.

Greens were awful.

For some reason they have lost their greens within a month.

I played there last month and the greens were pretty green in color.

Now they are browning all over.

other than the greens everything was ok, course was a little wet.

The pace of play was very very very slow for some reason

Very enjoyable. Playable course with challenging greens. Staff were terrific and made us feel right at home

Staff was excellent! From pro shop to starter to beverage cart was top notch!

This course will not disappoint.

Driving,chipping, &putting range in great shape. The boxes fairways and greens all in great shape.We played 7/18/19 And could not have had a better time On paper the course looks like a lot lot of water and sand but definitely playable and a lot of fun. We got hung up at the turn due to weather and had a couple cold ones while we waited to hit back nine. Meet the GM, Superintendent, and 2 course reps. couldn't been more accommodating. *****stars

BOOK IT it's worth it.

Course was in great shape. Greens rolled true and overall course maintenance was exceptional. Had to stop play for a bit for lightning, but got to recharge and talk to the friendly staff. Very happy with the course. We will be back.

The hot deal price was excellent and well worth the 3 hour trip to play this course. Even though the club house, which is massive, was closed on Monday the pro shop was open, there was an assistant at the bag drop area and the practice facilities were excellent. The food at the turn was good as well. Since we teed off after noon there was no one behind us most of the round and we were able to play at our own pace and enjoy the round. This course challenges you to hit to specific areas that reward you but miss it and it can be difficult. Very much a skill course over a long ball hitting course. Many memorable holes and excellent scenery. The greens read very true! I’ve played on small greens but these were smaller than expected! Nice but very hard to get onto. Thus the skill. Come in at the right angle and it’s easier. Come in from others and you may have 10 yds of green to hit at the most. Very very fun round!!

Excellent Nicklaus course routing at English Turn. Greens were quick and so so tiny. Made for a true iron shot shaping test. I feel like the majority of greens were designed for the player with a high fade. Hmmm (Jack?)

Overall excellent condition...two greens on the back nine need a little tlc but otherwise great. There are some fabulous golf holes on this track.

4, 10, 11, 13, 15 and 18 were memorable and fun.

But seriously....why the tiny greens???!!

This course is top 2 or 3 in the NOLA area. Awesome layout . Decent price if you get a hot deal. Worth checking out!
