English Turn Golf & Country Club

The first time I have been to any course without a bag drop attendant. Easter Monday so I guess short staff. Pro shop told me to put our clubs on a cart and go to the first tee when ready, no starter. No Marshall's, no cart person. Course was in decent shape but the storm the previous week hurt a few greens.

Not many there so pace was great.

Greens very fast and true. Although lots of water, pretty friendly driving course. It felt like a high end course going downhill.

I enjoyed the course and would play again if price was right.

Course is always well maintained, tricky layout, gotta stay short of pin high if you have to scramble. Small firm undulating greens pose a great challenge. And $40 on a Monday is a steal, played it for double that over the weekend and still worth the price.

This course has wide fairways. Great for someone who is rusty after a long northern winter. The course was in good shape. The greens are long and narrow. So miss long. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I prefer this course over the other course who is currently holding the tour in a few weeks.

Course had a great layout. Conditions were excellent especially the greens the score fast and rolled true. A bit pricey but definitely worth playing at least once.

I started as a single but I paired up with a 2some. I had a great time even though I didn’t have my best day. Nice layout. I used every club in the bag. Greens are small but fun.

You will enjoy your round! Staff is exceptional. Course we'll maintained.

Great value great staff beautiful course! Replay rate was very good too. I liked the course so much I played it twice!! Everything was up to par and then some. There are not enough adjectives to describe the experience but it felt like a top private course. Having played nearly 300 courses in the last 4 years all over, it takes a lot to impress me.

Great course. Challenging target golf. Staff was great. Worth the price in every way. Would definitely return.

Customer service sucked in the pro shop. The other employees in the restaurant and the Starting Marshall were great.

Thoroughly enjoyed the course. Despite heavy rain the day before and cart path only the course was very playable. Greens were excellent, putted true and not nearly as curvy as a typical Jack Nicklaus designs. Good mix of long and short holes. The island green 15 was fun. Lots of bunkers add to the challenge.

Only drawback is on Monday the course is open but the clubhouse closed.

I experienced a first today. On the 10th tee I encountered a drone. It hovered over me on the tee. I waived it off but the operator wouldn't pull back. It actually came closer. It followed me all the way down the fairway and hovered over my next shot. I tried to wave it off again. I started calling the pro shop but never got answer. I waited 10 minutes on the fairway until the battery died and it returned to the operator. The operator was in the White House next to the 10th green. I placed more calls to the clubhouse but no one

Ever answered. I left a message on the machine to explain the encounter and my number. I asked for a return call but it never happened. Needless to say I was annoyed and frustrated after the noisy drone encounter. On more than one tee box the grounds crew ran the mowers on the tee box right behind me. They never stopped for my tee shot. I've never had that happen on a course that I can recall, especially one that is supposed t be one of the top courses in the area.

Had a great time playing on this superb course. Very forgiving. Wish the clubhouse were open.

English Turn is a great course. The greens are true but are very small so your approach shot better be spot on. This is one course as well as with other courses where course management comes into play.

We could have asked for a nicer course. Lots of water and tiny greens.

The course was fine, but nothing special. $60 for rental clubs is way too much!!! The clubs weren’t top of the line and that did not include any golf balls.

Such a beautiful piece of land surrounded by gorgeous homes (none are really reachable from the course). I played after a short, heavy rain and the course could not have been any more perfect. Tee to green was meticulously manicured. Greens had been recently sanded, yet there was no loss of speed (fast) and still rolled true. I was lucky and had it to myself, so played 18 in 2.5 hours. 10/10 would do again!

Course was in great condition. Layout was good. I couldn't afford to play this course if I didn't get a great deal from golfnow.
