About
The 18-hole Eagle's Pointe Golf Club in Bluffton, S.C. is a public course that opened in 1998. Designed by Davis Love III, Eagle's Pointe measures 6,738 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 130 and a 72.5 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels.
The hallmarks of Eagle's Pointe are its classical, risk-reward design, natural beauty, strategy, variety and superb conditioning, along with outstanding customer service.
Winding through stands of moss-draped live oaks and pines and fresh-water wetlands and lagoons, Eagle's Pointe Golf Club's spacious corridors allow the golfer to keep driver in hand, while its dramatic bunkering, unique green sites and contoured putting surfaces combine to create one of the most exciting venues in the South Carolina Lowcountry.

Okay for the Money
Course not in great shape, but given the price of many golf courses around. Here, not a terrible deal.

No rakes in traps. Grass very thin. Greens had weeds in them and bumpy.

OVERPRICED
The greens were not in very good condition however they were working on them. We have played the course at least 10 times in the past and by far this is the worse condition we have seen the course

Some greens border on unplayable. Some temporary tee boxes some need work

You Get What You Pay For
If hitting your irons through crab grass, or watching your ball bounce on the green on its way to the pin, then this is the course for you. They are doing work on the clubhouse. Did that money come out of the maintenance budget?
Has no one ever though to fill in the neck-jarring potholes in the cart paths? Who laid out the tee marker balls?

Great Value
Eagles’ Point is a great value. Course layout by Davis Love is excellent. Staff is extremely friendly and attentive. One of the best values in Hilton Head area at this time.

Course was in pretty good shape. Some areas on greens need attention and there were a couple of sand traps that were under repair. Cart service was terrible.

Low Country Disaster
This course is in poor shape! The greens have patches of sand, the fairways need water, the tee boxes are hard as rocks and the cart paths are like negotiating a war zone. The pace of play is horrible-waited on every shot!

Not worth the green fee
Course is in poor condition.
Very poor fairways and some greens had substantial areas of dead grass.
Management is in process of filling in many bunkers eliminating sand which made for unplayable conditions at some greens.
Finally it appears management has raised green fees at least the week we were there - after the Masters and before the Harbor Town tourney. Course way overpriced - $65 - for conditions

Great Round
You are able to tell the amount of time and money put into improving this course. Sand traps (although I was only in 1) are now in good shape with soft white sand. The only problem with conditions was that a few tee boxes and greens need work but have been over seeded for improvement. They are ok and will only get better as the year progresses. The only other problem was the alligator on number 14. My ball landed within 3 feet of her so, being from Pennsylvania, I dropped one about 30 feet from her without penalty. Great time, great course, great round

Way, Way Overpriced
We have played this course in the past when it was in much better shape and at a lesser cost. For the conditions of the course, from the tees, to the fairways, and greens -- horrible shape. Four of the greens seem to be 'lost" with no grass at all on them. Ridiculous amount of money to spend on a course that needs a lot of help.

Course shape
The course was in very poor shape, play was very slow, need ranger on course to speed it up , had a fore some ahead of us that was extremely slow, waited on every shot, nobody ahead of them . Beer cart couldn’t be found, saw once in 18 holes, then found out she left for the day. Bartender in bar very friendly, closes way to early. Pro shop staff very pleasant

Over priced
Paid $62 to play 18, when in reality the course should be $30-$35, the course was in decent shape, but the greens are absolutely terrible, weeds growing thru on every green, can’t even get a decent roll without it hopping everywhere, I would recommend Rose Hill or Hilton Head Lakes, around same price, way better shape.
