Course needs some TLC
I enjoy the layout of Silverbell, but the course could use more attention to maintenance. There are too many areas of bare dirt on the course and the bunkers could use a little more sand.
Bataan Death March
The course had very little control over the number of people playing, and the course was overloaded. No Ranger, so play was intolerably slow on a Friday afternoon. It took us three hours to complete 9 holes, so we walked off the course after nine, so we could make our dinner reservation. Very disappointing!
They didn’t tell us it was cart path only until we got there and paid $40
Upon arrival is when they told us that it was cart path only today, no sooner. Being over 100 degrees and walking more then expected, turned into a 5 hour round in the sun. They should’ve told us at he booking or at least lower the rate, since I paid $40 to walk all day long. The pace of play sucked and I was exhausted by the 14 th hole. Then there was no beverage cart person at all on the back 9, and the water fountains were in very poor conditions
great
always in good shape.. challenging and yet rewarding.. great venue in Tucson.. thanks
Very neglected course
Fairways are largely dirt. Greens are overrun with a yellow, purple flower. Several tee boxes under water. It took marshall 10 holes to catch 4 guys playing with one set of clubs. 5 hours to play 18 holes. No ettiquette, had to yell at forward golfers to rake traps. Not a cheap round . Last time there. Too many great courses in Tucson.
Winter conditions at the moment
Nice facility in a beautiful setting, without the typical desert rough. Greens starting to come in and in fairly good condition. Fairways hard-pack to OK. Fist cut of rough, mostly muck. Pace of play slow. Lots of couples.
great day spoiled
greens were rock hard, rough was nothing but dirt, tee boxes were in bad shape, and to top it off, took 3 hours to just play the front 9. will not return
Dry nice design and layout
Greens need care. They are bump and not true. Bunkers need sand and consistency. Fairways were OK. Tee boxes were also OK
Course in Good Condition. Good value.
The course was in pretty good shape. Pace of play was a bit slow, but as expected for this time of year.

the city will hopefully keep this course!? fun and very challenging! however, WHY IS THIS THE MOST EXPENSIVE CITY COURSE... .? are they trying to steer golfers away from Silverbell?
Go back to Golfnow!
good course for the money
Had a lot of fun at this course. The course had a few bald spots around front edge of greens and around bunkers and those were very hard to play cause of how hard but other then that it's a great city course to run out on and sneak in some holes...when I went at 130 in the afternoon it was dead weather was rain and thunder in the area but a few people still out...I got done in about or less than 3 hours.
Good little course
Of the 5 city courses Silverbellisnimber 2 on my list behind Del Urich. It has a nice flow to the holes. It is seriously lacking in yardage markers and the bunkers were pretty much unplayable either due to being full of water or being hard as cement. Some long challenging par 4 holes if you are playing from either of the back two boxes and mid range par threes. All in all Silverbell is always an enjoyable and challenging round of golf.
Silverbell is fun.
The course is moderately challenging but the sand traps were cement. There needs to be more yardage markers on the course. Pictures of holes need to be on scorecard. If you never played this course before you would not know where the green to Hole #11 is.
Fun course
It's a great layout, the only problem being the condition of the sand traps, which are close to unplayable.
I found my best course in Tucson now
There's not a bad thing I can say the course was in excellent condition the very friendly as starter I've ever met Armando I didn't get the lady's name in the Pro Shop but she was very helpful as we got lost trying to get there she gave us directions overall the best course in Tucson enjoyed my day
Silverbell
Since the weather was cold/rainy, the course was wide open which was great, since the weather became good quickly. The greens were in great shape and the fairways were also in top shape. I got a very good "Hot Deal" so the entire experience was fantastic.
This is not my favorite course in Tucson, but it is always a good and challenging time.
Good value
Friendly staff and a windy day made for a pretty fast round as there were not a lot of golfers out. Course was a little dry and bunkers were mostly hard packed sand/mud, but not too bad otherwise. Greens were in good shape. I paid $40 including tax and a cart, so for the money, it was a pretty good deal.
