Dos Osos Golf Club
About
Dos Osos Golf Club(formerly known as Eagle Crest Golf Club) is routed through the scenic San Pasqual Valley. Its secluded location and challenging layout have made Dos Osos one of San Diego's best-kept secrets. The beautiful layout incorporates cascading waterfalls and eight lakes along with colorful wildflowers and rolling green hills. The diverse golf course is a shot maker's layout that is player friendly enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. It measures to a manageable 6,417 yards, but it still offers plenty of challenges. In addition to the water hazards, pristine white sand bunkers add a stark contrast to the lush greens. The golf course is narrow, especially on the front nine, which is tighter and has more tree-lined fairways. The bank nine opens up much more. Dos Osos Golf Club rewards accuracy and thoughtful strategy but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper.

Don’t play here
The tee boxes were very uneven, the greens were the only l thing watered, every fairway was dirt.
eagle crest nest
Actually enjoyed the round for the price. I just thought it looked run down from the past. I pictured on several holes how majestic it might have been. Greens were in excellent shape. Sand bunkers had no sand on most holes and fairways were real dry.
If only they had the money...
...the layout is so good but the conditions are so poor. In fairness, they did have the sand traps marked as ground under repair and the greens were consistent and in very good shape. If it was easier to get to, then it might have the players to allow them to afford to maintain the fairways. For the price, with a cart, it is a value... just hit the fairway and then move your ball to something that use to be, or wants to be, GRASS, and you'll be fine.
Could be a fun course
Very bad shape. Greens were ok, but fairways were hard and most traps were either under repair or just cement.
Patches of weeds and long grass in all of their fairways. The greens were nice but everything else looks like it hasn’t been maintained at all. Didn’t see a cart girl at all while we were there.
So much potential
The Good-very good price for 18 holes includes a cart. Staff was friendly and helpful
The Bad-could use more signs to indicate where one needed to go(or even painted arrows on payment).
The concrete golf path was nice but very bumpy on bad backs
The Ugly- lots of Big tall grass weeds on the fairways or in the bunkers. The bunkers needed more sand to attempt a shot from their. Uneven tee boxes. The fairways weren’t consistent, some areas of good grass, some not so good areas. The greens were properly mowed and in good condition.
In short, these 18 holes has lots of potential to reclaim a challenging course. Perhaps the worker shortage is causing more maintenance issues and the golf course is showing poorly because of it. I enjoy playing golf ⛳️ and I can see where not having access to abundance of water this summer is going to have an impact on golf courses.
Super Rough Course, great staff
Love playing this course for the money, but it could be a really pretty course if they took care of it at all. Roughs are 6" of uncut grass, fairways are 25% dirt. Staff is always super friendly. Wish they would take care of it but then I guess it would be more expensive.
Total disappointed
The condition of the course was one of the worst I've seen. This course 'Eagle Crest golf club' should not be available on Golfnow website. This was the biggest case of false advertisement I've ever seen this was not a golf course it was a goat ranch. I don't mean to be hard on the course but this is the truth.
Could be a nice course
Tee boxes and fairways are in real bad shape. Greens were good. No sand in bunkers and had grass in some. Liked the layout of the course. Hopefully they can get the right people to restore it to a playable course.
I would not call this a golf course.
The first few holes were quite bad. You could not tell what was fairway and what was rough. It was all rough, weeds and not mowed.
Course got a little more recognizable as a course the more holes you played.
Not golf in my opinion.
Need maintenance
The cart was not a riding condition, knocking all the time, and low power. I and my daughter were riding it, but it was almost stopping on the flat cart path. If we have right cart, then we could play quicker and no frustration.
Patting green condition is OK. No complaining with this play fee.
