About
If you're sick of getting beat up and spit out by all the big-name, big-bite courses in the Palm Springs resort area paradise of La Quinta, Big Rock Golf & Pub at Big Rock Golf & Pub at Indian Springs could be the course for you.
This track provides a reprieve from the hacker battering. The design is pretty straight forward. Water only comes into play on two holes. The fairways are mostly flat.
Golfers can get into trouble in the desert areas bordering some holes, but as long as you're not too wild, the pain should be kept to a minimum. Big Rock Golf & Pub at Indian Springs is all about golf as a fun escape.
It's not a course that feels like it must make hackers prove something. The slope rating at this John Gurley Sr. design is 127 for men, 120 for women.

Golfer Reviews
I would like to thank the shop and course superintendent for letting groups drive up to the edge of the fairways making the walk to the ball a lot easier than keeping the carts on the cart paths and having to walk that extra distance to our ball, thanks
Very good golf, super friendly staff, standard pricing for the area
First time here and the staff was very helpful and attentive. The course is well maintained and interesting layout as it winds its way between different housing neighborhoods, but not in a distracting manner. I Totally worth playing.
Great Course
Really enjoyed the day at Big Rock. The course is in great condition and we played in 3 hours on a very hot afternoon
This is a course you won’t regret
From the very start, we were greeted warmly and given the routine of checking in, getting a cart, etc. Friendly staff, informative starter, nice course lay out, had a fun time playing. Would play it again.
Nice course
Very nice course in great condition pretty wide-open not too much trouble I recommend the course specially for beginners
For mid September, the course is in excellent condition
Hi highly recommend this golf course for the price. It was amazing. Course was an excellent condition and after the golf you gotta go up into the big rock pub. It’s amazing in there how many sighing guitars from all artist going back in the 70s
Hidden Gem
Loved this course! Huge fairways like playing at a resort. Pace of play was superfast, probably because it was a weekday and it was kind of hot, so it wasn't super busy out there. Course conditions were excellent given the recent heatwave. Course layout is funky though. A lot of public street crossings. And get there early if you plan on warming up with range balls because the range is quite a drive from the first tee.
