If you're sick of getting beat up and spit out by all the big-name, big-bite courses in the Palm Springs resort area paradise of La Quinta, Big Rock Golf & Pub at Big Rock Golf & Pub at Indian Springs could be the course for you.
This track provides a reprieve from the hacker battering. The design is pretty straight forward. Water only comes into play on two holes. The fairways are mostly flat.
Golfers can get into trouble in the desert areas bordering some holes, but as long as you're not too wild, the pain should be kept to a minimum. Big Rock Golf & Pub at Indian Springs is all about golf as a fun escape.
It's not a course that feels like it must make hackers prove something. The slope rating at this John Gurley Sr. design is 127 for men, 120 for women.

Great greens!
Great greens! Course is in excellent condition. Good value for the money. Staff is always friendly
Played solo and finished in 2 hours!
Course was in great condition and thankfully playing solo multiple groups let me play through and I finished 18 in 2 hours flat. I liked it so much I asked if I could play another 9 holes at a great rate and loved all 27 holes. Fairways are very nice, sand is well maintained but greens are tricky and a little fast. Definitely playing again.

Teed off at 7:30 and finished 3hrs flat. Where the grass is suppose to be green its green. Course was in excellent condition. Challenging with traps and water. Dont hesitate coming here!

As always, my Son and I enjoyed our rounds. The course is in excellent shape. The staff is great. Really looking forward to the next round. A local single golfer was sent out with us and it was a pleasure having him in our group.

Not one of the hardest courses in La Quinta / Palm Desert area but a fun layout and mountain views on almost every hole.! Course was in spectacular condition on 12/30/2020.
Nice Course... Could be a lot of fun
Really nice course and not too difficult where you have to be perfect. Easy to score but is still challenging. There is room to miss. If covid wasn't a thing, I bet the pub and restaurant would be a lot of fun after a round, especially on a Sunday watching NFL. Sit on the patio and have some drinks, watch football, and some golf.

Did not get too enjoy pub because of covid.
Looking forward to coming back when we can take advantage of all the amenities.
