Indian Springs Golf Club
About
If you're sick of getting beat up and spit out by all the big-name, big-bite courses in the Palm Springs resort area paradise of La Quinta, Big Rock Golf & Pub at Big Rock Golf & Pub at Indian Springs could be the course for you.
This track provides a reprieve from the hacker battering. The design is pretty straight forward. Water only comes into play on two holes. The fairways are mostly flat.
Golfers can get into trouble in the desert areas bordering some holes, but as long as you're not too wild, the pain should be kept to a minimum. Big Rock Golf & Pub at Indian Springs is all about golf as a fun escape.
It's not a course that feels like it must make hackers prove something. The slope rating at this John Gurley Sr. design is 127 for men, 120 for women.

Pace of Play slow
On a day where there were few groups due to rain, one group of wannabe professionals took forever over shots, looked at every putt from every angle snd had no consideration of other golfers on the course. Never any marshalls to speed up slow groups.
Customer Centric
The cart gentleman brought it to our car and loaded our bags. He directed us to a very friendly check-in at the pro shop. The Rock and Roll theme of the pub was very evident both inside and outside the building, including the bathrooms. Driving range a bit hidden down in a wash area - strange setup. Played with a couple from Michigan who were familiar with the course. Nice variety of holes with all areas nicely maintained. Hot Deal price was fair. We would recommend and would return.
Big Rock
Great greens. Course is a little rough with all the play. Short time intervals leads to waiting.
Good Golf Course
Friendly staff and efficient staff from check-in, payment of golf fees and the starter at Hole#1.
The course was in good shape....both fairways and greens. Pace of play was quite slow was the only issue.
Top of my favorites list in the desert
Consistent fair prices, great turf conditions, and a good layout make this a top choice. I will play here again tomorrow.
Fun ,Fair Course
Wife and I played for the first time , greens were firm and fast in great shape pace of play was four hours wide fairways fun course to play … will come back again forsure!
Best value in the east valley
This track is at the top of my favorites list in the Palm Springs area. We spend a couple of weeks in the desert every year and Big Rock consistently provides an ideal mix of playability, challenge, course conditions, all at affordable prices. This round was no exception to my previous experience. We will play here again later this week.
Fun Course
Green were is great shape fast and firm, course over all in good shape , teed off at 1pm and played in four hours, I would play this course again …
A favorite in the valley, but today the pace on the back was slow
I play Big Rock at least once every time I come to the Cochlea valley. It’s a great value with a good track with something for players across the handicap spectrum. The grounds were in very good condition, the greens were true. The only tweak I might suggest is they could adjust the irrigation to avoid over-watering the bunkers. I will return for another round in a few days.
Big Suck!
Beans are hard as a rock slippery fast zero friendly staff put a five some a big fat, ugly slow pope dudes out in front of us took three hours to play nine holes when I confronted the starter he destroyed his shoulders and told me to go play someplace else if I didn’t like it, I think I’ll take his advice from now on. The bar was nice, but the course sucks the people that run the course suck that’s why it’s called big suck
Hidden Gem
Stumbled onto Big Rock through GolfNow. Decided to take a chance because of timing. Glad I did. Course was in great shape and the greens were fantastic. Course was very playable for my wife who is new to the game but yet also fun for a low handicapper. Staff was super friendly and helpful. I would definitely play again.
