A Friendly Handshake to Pete Dye
Welcome to the Penal School of architecture, at PGA West Dunes. Played her for the first time today, and conditions were great. Staff was friendly, and course is a fair challenge. Precision on approach to small is a premium, or else be prepared for tough up an downs. Finishing holes are the highlight. If you can’t control your irons or wedges this might not be a fun round.
Can’t wait to try Mountain later this weekend.

Customer service needs work
Our golf cart was barely functional - very noisy and we hoped it wouldn't break down during our round. Hard to apply the break and then and a significant jerk when we started the start the cart. GPS was non-functional. We saw a golf course staff member and tried to get his attention but he ignored us. At the end of the round, we mentioned the cart to a staff member and he told us that we had the worst cart when we told him the cart #. No apology - he blew us off. Of course, we didn't tip him. We played this course twice during March. The first time, we were behind an extremely slow twosome and we finally gave up and ended our round due to wind and having to wait for the twosome ahead of us to move along.
