PGA WEST Pete Dye Dunes Course

I expect a PGA course to be pristine

Poor signage

The course is great but the tee markers suck! You can’t make out the colors so are constantly having to go back and forth to find the right color. Paint the darn things.

Great conditions on fairways and greens as well as bunkers. It was an overall good experience and a nice pace being able to play in less than 4 hours as it should be. All the PGA West courses are quite different making them most enjoyable to play for an above average golfer.

Very tough track because of greens elevation and angles. Harder than Mountain and almost as hard as Stadium

course in good shape, passed several slower groups, finished before darkness

Not worth the money.

Jacked up layout

Small tricked up greens that are all tabled.

Ruff dormant.

Not a fun round.

After playing the Greg Norman course at PGA West, we were expecting the same course shape if not better at Pete Dyes Dunes course. The course was a little on the rough side. Played well, just looked a little tired and room for some improvement. We had a twosome ahead of us which turned into a slow foursome after the 4th hole which slowed the last 14 holes.

Several brown spots on the greens. Fairways better. Slower play than mountain course.

After Stadium course pleasure to play. Less penalizing but still challenging.
