Well laid out course, however, the greens are unforgiving, if they softened the greens it would become more fair, with the hard and undulating greens it is hard to keep the ball on the green.

No fun!
Unless you are a plus handicap or enjoy being tortured, stay away from this course. The greens hold a shot like a parking lot, and balls roll to locations around the greens that make the course virtually unplayable. Many fun courses to play in the Palm Springs area, this isn’t one of them. Our group agrees that we will never go back there.

I Recommend This Course
Easy on the eyes but not easily seduced
This course never lets you off the hook. It tests your patience and mettle. There're no flat greens to speak off. Don't think you're safe once the ball lands on the green. Depending where and how you land, it just might trail off and fall into a grass pit. It's a thinking man's course. I'm glad I played it, yet I regret having played it so poorly.

A typical Pete Dye course
Lots of railroad ties. I don’t know why but with all the bunkers on this course they don’t have better sand and rake them regularly. For the cost of a round I expected better.

Course is a fun one. Only complaint is the bunkers. They should be more consistent and have more sand. They need to be softened up. They appeared only to be raked. For the costs they she done daily

Great track.
Greens were fast and challenging. Nice layout with all types of challenges. Course in great shape except for a few areas that needed some work. 19th hole closed early so no drinks afterwards

PGA West is one of the best.
Fun course with nice views and excellent greens ( I wish they were a little more receptive). The greens are fast and true. Fairways and rough were in nice shape. I can't speak of the sand for I wasn't in any traps. Layout is fun, but I would expect a little more for $300 green fees.
