The Course at Wente Vineyards

Great course on all levels. Only issue I had was the golfnow reservation was NOT in the system even though I had prepaid. Luckily there was a foursome that cancelled and we were able to get out at our time.

Surprisely, course is in good shape during winter wet season. Bunkers has new sand and they are soft, made a few mistakes from the bunkers. But over all, they have great wine and I have seen new patches of grass they had improved. I will definitely play the course again.

I was excited to have the opportunity in playing this course, but it turns out to be a big disappointment. The course appears to be not draining too well. Although we received some rain lately and it is difficult to provide good drainage for mountain course but this course is worse than most. It took over 5 hours to play and we have to give up the last 3 holes due to darkness and cold.

There was a frost delay which made for a longer day than usual. Even so, once on the course, the greens were fast and consistent and the course, largely, drained well from the previous night's rain and hail. If you have a tendency to miss fairways, particularly, a slicer, this will be a real challenge as most holes are unforgiving in that regard...

Not sure why they had my tee time with u guys at 1240 when my reservation tee time was at 1140. Wasnt too happy cause on the 17 & 18 holes I was playing in the dark. I would not of booked this at 1240 cause I knew I wouldnt get all 18 in.

I love everything about this course. So much so, that I feel redundant writing about it because everything is great. Everyone should experience it for themselves. Conditions were perfect even after there had been a lot of rain. The layout is second to none. Each hole has character and an interesting design. Also, each hole provides a serious challenge, but serious reward for playing well. Not to mention some unbelievable views thanks to the natural surroundings and insane elevation changes. It was a cold and cloudy day, but Wente Vineyards made me feel like it was a warm summer day. This course is definitely in my top 5 of courses I've played in my life.

Wente is amazing. With spectacular views and a very well kept course, it's impossible not to enjoy yourself. If you're slicing or hooking your shots, your ball will be OB, wine tasting, in a hurry. It's a challenging course but it's fair. I'll most certainly be back!

Second time playing here, the amenities are second to none, staff is great...an outstanding venue for group tournaments. Had a great time, not the best scoring round....more swing lube may be required. Leave your $5 golf balls at home.

We loved every second of our round at Wente. I've wanted to play this course for years but for a golf nut like me, it's kind of pricey. My goal is to get in the most golf, at the best courses for the best rate available. Without the deal on GolfNow, I may still be waiting and that would be a mistake. This course is worth every penny even at the advertised rate. The course was in excellent condition even though it had rained several times in the days prior to my round. The putting surface was immaculate. I like to say that I am the best putter I know and when I pay green fees, I feel like those fees should be directly proportional to the quality of the greens. This is not always the case, but at Wente, rest assured you will be putting on professional quality greens. I dropped a 30 footer and two putts from outside of 15 ft. Every putt I missed was my fault. :-) I've played almost every course in the bay area and Wente is in my top 5. I can't stop thinking about it. Going back soon.

Great Driving Range with awesome views. Restaurant has great food. Nice putting greens. Course is in great shape and greens well kept. Marshals very friendly and informative. Chose the twilight time and got on 50 minutes early with no one behind us it was like having the course to ourselves.

This is the 2nd time I've played Wente and once again I loved it. The course has some well placed tee's which lead right into very well maintained fairways. A nice touch Wente does is put yard markers on all of the sprinkler caps throughout the course. They use a very soft sand in the traps, they can really catch you by surprise is your not used to hitting that type of sand but it looks great. Over all we had a great time a plan to play again soon!

This is just a fun track. Tight in spots but all in all there is a lot of room to have an all out good time. I loved the greens as much as the views. The staff was awesome.

A very good mix between fair and challenging holes in a wounderful area.

Had the first frost delay of the year. Only an hour wait. Staff very friendly and grill is reasonably priced. When the delay was lifted the use a shotgun for all the early tee times instead of backing everyone up on the first tee. This works great.

Enjoyed a beautiful day on challenging course. We played in the morning and had the green's crew follow us for last 8 holes walking up to greens, leaving machinery running and fixing ball and spike marks as we tried to finish up. We spoke to crews and staffers that came by but no action changed. For $115 pp, money will be better spent elsewhere.

The course layout was very nice, not too challenging but not easy. Staff were cordial, but not overly friendly.

Course was in great condition, nice putting/chipping greens, and very nice grass range with unlimited balls. highly recommend

what an awesome course! first of all, the range on top of a giant hill was pristine, empty, grassy, and each stall was filled with a pyramid of balls to use. great start to the day! the staff was friendly and the starter helped us out with some tips. the course was amazing. great challenges, lots of different looks, tricky slick greens and TONS of elevated tee boxes that made it feel like you were teeing off the top the world. Gorgeous views of the valley and vineyards. A+

Would have given a 5-star rating, but I played after a few days of hard rain. The course was wet, but still in good condition (greens were great!). You just have to keep the ball in the fairway. If you hit it in the rough, you had to search well for your ball. As your ball would plug in the tall rough (that was soaked). Overall the course was great and I will play it again and I highly recommend the course. Next time, I will just have to wait after there has been a few days of hard rain.
