About
The course at the Sunbird Golf Resort is a desert-style course that offers three sets of tee boxes to accommodate most skill levels. This executive length golf course has a country club-type atmosphere and offers a good round of golf. The greens are medium sized with some that are multi-tiered and narrow fairways. Bunkers and trees are also present on the course, adding some challenge since they can greatly affect shots. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes. In addition to the executive course at Sunbird Golf Resort, the facility also offers a putting area and chipping green as well as a fully stocked pro shop.

If you are a beginner STAY away from this course.
Our tee time was 7:36 am and the ranger held us back, 10 minutes, to allow the group ahead of us time to play which was fine with us at this point. We tee off and are going the best we can. The fairways was very wet and muddy I assume from watering so you had to clean your clubs after use and I had to even clean a couple balls. There was a couple players behind us and we tried to go as fast as we could and picked up when we had maxed out strokes. The group behind us as we are teeing off of the next hole almost hit my son in law twice and myself once on their shots on the hole behind us. The ranger came over on about hole #7 or 8 and told my husband we were going to slow and holding everyone up and it was full behind us we said we would speed up and was happy to stand aside and let anyone play through he just said to speed up or pick up our call and go to the next hole. He then followed us two the next holes and so while we paid for 18 rounds we left at 9 as we knew he was going to follow us all the way. We felt very targeted. We checked and went upstairs to the restaurant and the staff their was super friendly, the food and drinks was good. I would rate the restaurant as a 5. I don’t do reviews often but this one I felt was very warranted.
Fun Round
Had a great time, with a nice twosome I was paired with. Teed off around 6:40 and was finished 9:15 or so. Pace was excellent. The greens were very slow, but once I adjusted they were fine. Overall I couldn't have asked for more.
Good Local Executive course!
If you wanna score low, go here! Perfect starter course for youth and avid golfers alike. Greens are slow and easy to read! Good place to build confidence! Golf Sunbird in Chandler Az!
Sunbird review
Overall the course is in decent shape. The pace of play was excellent. The greens are pretty slow but they put true and hold approach shots. I'll play here again for this price.
Good course for the money. Relatively short course without too many hazards besides houses that line most of the holes.
Great Course
Staff is always outstanding, just like a country club. Tee boxes and greens are great, fairways are transitioning to summer so some spotty areas, but still in good condition.
Great executive course
This is our “go to” executive course! The staff is awesome and we always have a great experience. Sometimes pace of play can be a little slow & they don’t have a liquor license but, it doesn’t deter us from returning. We LOVE this course!!

Your group had 2 players who had never played before and you took 18 minutes to play the 1st hole.
On a busy Sunday morning the ranger has to keep things moving. He observed players in your group swinging and missing the ball repeatedly and taking huge divots, which you didn't repair.
After repeated reminders to pick up the pace the ranger had no choice but to keep pushing you along.
We are sorry you felt targeted but pace of play is critical to the enjoyment of all the golfers out there.
While we welcome all golfers, new and seasoned, perhaps choosing a time, other than a busy Sunday morning, would have benefited the players in your group who had never played before.
