About
The course at the Sunbird Golf Resort is a desert-style course that offers three sets of tee boxes to accommodate most skill levels. This executive length golf course has a country club-type atmosphere and offers a good round of golf. The greens are medium sized with some that are multi-tiered and narrow fairways. Bunkers and trees are also present on the course, adding some challenge since they can greatly affect shots. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes. In addition to the executive course at Sunbird Golf Resort, the facility also offers a putting area and chipping green as well as a fully stocked pro shop.

They were very good yesterday they ran real well still a little slow but it might just be because of the water they're putting on in the mornings of course is in good shape of course there's spots on the fairways that they're fixing and or is scarce of grass in some areas but overall it's one of the best in the area out in the Chandler Gilbert area
Sunbird 2024
This my 3rd visit to Sunbird and can only tell you that we have more fun each time we visit your location. The golf course while not very long, provides for some challenging holes. Overall the course was in good shape for this time.of year.
The clubhouse is very welcoming and a great place for a cold beer after play. The residents of Sunbird welcomed us to join in with one of their clubhouse activities. Really a great time.
Summer Conditions
With the oppressive heat, course IA suffering a little. That's okay, had the course to myself and couldn't beat the price. Sunbird is still worth playing, and the staff is always outstanding.

Nice executive course
This is a fun course to play. For an executive course there is a nice variety of holes, from short par 3s to a par 5. Course was in good condition and although the greens were a little slow there was good grass throughout the course. Designed by one of my favorite course designers, Gary Panks, who also did Raven, Legacy, Poston Butte, Falcon Dunes, Aguila and others.
Nice Course, but no drink cart
Great course for the two of us that went. Great value for sure. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Only really downsides were the greens were extremely hard and they don’t have an alcohol license for the course so you can’t have a cold beer or Bloody Mary while playing.
No grass
The greens were very slow. There was no grass anywhere else on the course. I won't play the course again if it was free.

If you are a beginner STAY away from this course.
Our tee time was 7:36 am and the ranger held us back, 10 minutes, to allow the group ahead of us time to play which was fine with us at this point. We tee off and are going the best we can. The fairways was very wet and muddy I assume from watering so you had to clean your clubs after use and I had to even clean a couple balls. There was a couple players behind us and we tried to go as fast as we could and picked up when we had maxed out strokes. The group behind us as we are teeing off of the next hole almost hit my son in law twice and myself once on their shots on the hole behind us. The ranger came over on about hole #7 or 8 and told my husband we were going to slow and holding everyone up and it was full behind us we said we would speed up and was happy to stand aside and let anyone play through he just said to speed up or pick up our call and go to the next hole. He then followed us two the next holes and so while we paid for 18 rounds we left at 9 as we knew he was going to follow us all the way. We felt very targeted. We checked and went upstairs to the restaurant and the staff their was super friendly, the food and drinks was good. I would rate the restaurant as a 5. I don’t do reviews often but this one I felt was very warranted.
Fun Round
Had a great time, with a nice twosome I was paired with. Teed off around 6:40 and was finished 9:15 or so. Pace was excellent. The greens were very slow, but once I adjusted they were fine. Overall I couldn't have asked for more.

You checked in at 7:42 which is why the group behind went before you.
Your group had 2 players who had never played before and you took 18 minutes to play the 1st hole.
On a busy Sunday morning the ranger has to keep things moving. He observed players in your group swinging and missing the ball repeatedly and taking huge divots, which you didn't repair.
After repeated reminders to pick up the pace the ranger had no choice but to keep pushing you along.
We are sorry you felt targeted but pace of play is critical to the enjoyment of all the golfers out there.
While we welcome all golfers, new and seasoned, perhaps choosing a time, other than a busy Sunday morning, would have benefited the players in your group who had never played before.
