About
The course at the Sunbird Golf Resort is a desert-style course that offers three sets of tee boxes to accommodate most skill levels. This executive length golf course has a country club-type atmosphere and offers a good round of golf. The greens are medium sized with some that are multi-tiered and narrow fairways. Bunkers and trees are also present on the course, adding some challenge since they can greatly affect shots. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes. In addition to the executive course at Sunbird Golf Resort, the facility also offers a putting area and chipping green as well as a fully stocked pro shop.

Top 3 of the valley
I’ve reviewed this course in the past and felt it needed a reboot.
This course is amazing. Par 66 that is beautiful and competitive. I play the blue /white tees. And I always have a fantastic time. It sits at the southern edge of Maricopa County and the community surrounding is very pleasant. Most residents wave as you pass by. Water plays on a few holes and I’ve fell victim a few times.
I highly recommend this one.
I gave two stars for the staff, it doesn’t matter why. I didn’t golf with them, but one particular staffer is not a pleasant person.
But if you look beyond that, you’ll have a great time.

Please work on your bunkers and greens
It’s a great place to play in summer when it’s under 15 dollars but for anything over 30 bucks I would say you’re getting robbed here.
This time of year it’s just miserable, I’ve played this entire course in under 2 hours, yet they’ll let people take 4 hours to play 4000 yards. Pretty sad. Bunkers aren’t sad, they’re clay. Greens need to be blowed off as almost every round I’ve ever played here has leafs all over the green
Needs Work
It's an okay course. The fairways were fair but the greens needed a haircut. Hadn't been mowed for a while. Putting was impossible.
If you're going to charge these green fees during the season that the course should be at its best, at least have the greens in great shape.
Sharpen the blades on the mowers!
The greens were not well prepared. Not mowed in the morning as best I could tell. There were also many areas of the course that were "under repair" by the many spray painted circles. The nice new building was confusing as to where to go for most anything. More parking is needed but that has been mentioned repeatedly in previous reviews. Any person (players, members and staff) encountered were very friendly!
Optimistic
This was my first time playing this course and I must admit that I was a little intimidated by the proximity of the homes. As a new golfer my confidence on avoiding those homes wasn’t very high, however I’m relieved to say that I avoided the homes.
Great As Always
Always enjoy playing here. Just be patient about pace as it is a retirement community. Teed off at 2:56 and finished at 6:10, still had daylight.
Nice course
My wife and I played 9 holes in 1:45. The tees, fariways and greens were in excellent condition. It's a nice course for higher handicappers because it's shorter than a normal course and there is not a ton of trouble. Most all of the other golfers there were residents of the Sunbird Community and everyone was very nice and cordial.
