About
The course at the Sunbird Golf Resort is a desert-style course that offers three sets of tee boxes to accommodate most skill levels. This executive length golf course has a country club-type atmosphere and offers a good round of golf. The greens are medium sized with some that are multi-tiered and narrow fairways. Bunkers and trees are also present on the course, adding some challenge since they can greatly affect shots. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes. In addition to the executive course at Sunbird Golf Resort, the facility also offers a putting area and chipping green as well as a fully stocked pro shop.

Friendly staff
We found this course by chance and we've enjoyed playing here often over the past two years. Their fees are reasonable considering how well are the fairgrounds kept. Most of all, the staff at the ProShop has always been very friendly and helpful. After a round, we enjoy having a bite at their restaurant which has good and tasty food.
Great shape BUT
WET from Monsoon rains previous evening. Some standing water meant pick and drop. Also needed to wipe mud off ball numerous times. This being said, course is very green and plays nicely. Greens a little slow BUT grass was enjoying the water and the sun! SUNBIRD is a FUN course to play!
Sunbird is always fun!
Sunbird was in excellent condition considering its still August in AZ. Perfect course for senior golfer! Don't let the Party fool you. It's a challenging course with just enough water to get your attention. Staff is always helpful AND we like the restaurant. Excellent burger and fries with reasonable beer and drink prices.
Great Executive Course
Semi-private executive course was in great shape and greens were excellent. Checked in with friendly staff and loaded clubs into a clean peppy cart. Two regulars invited us to join them on first tee and provided appreciated course advice. Never waited on anyone ahead and nobody pressured us from behind. Nice lounge for after golf refreshments. Great day golfing.
Good course overall
Pretty good course overall, considering the price and pace. Condition is good especially now is summer time. Highly recommended for a quick round.
Sunbird Golf Club
Sunbird Golf Club was in good shape. Greens were in very good condition and course was fun to play. Being an 18 handicap, some holes were challenging, while others allowed par opportunities. Would play the course again.
Fun Course
Always enjoy playing here. Staff is outstanding and they treat you like your a member of a country club. Even the groundskeepers will stop what they are doing to let you hit your shot. Course is in decent shape considering the summer we have had. Greens were outstanding, and tee boxes good as well.
Give it a shot
Although this course is somewhat short, don’t that that dissuade you from giving it a shot. There are many challenging angles and risk/reward type shots. A great course for short iron development. The staff is very friendly and the clubhouse area is nice as well. We will continue to play for sure!

Take care of your greens and add sand to your bunkers
I love this course, but yesterday the greens were like Velcro. Looks like they’re watering the heck out of them but that’s about it. The bunkers look like gardens and is like hitting off loose gravel. Putting like you have to putt here won’t work on any other course and that’s what I don’t like. It’s a very short course so it should be a great place to improve your short game but you have to hit 10 foot putts at sunbird like a 60 foot putt anywhere else. Also, every tee box had a little bottle of sand, yet they were all empty. Kinda goes to show they’re being lazy and not out improving the course.
Played with some slow people yesterday and that was the first time this course has taken 4 hours for me. Not fun at that pace in this heat
