Sunbird Golf Resort

The course was in decent, not great shape. The staff is awesome. Bunkers need to be softer and need more sand.

The fairway seem to be a little rough in spots. I know it's this time of year, but you would think it'd be a little bit better than it's only May. We haven't got into the heat yet, but the overall course and everybody is really nice here and everything. So I'll always play it because I always fix it but there were a lot of bald spots

Great pace of play completed 18 in less than 4 hours, greens and fairways in great shape, staff was super friendly and the amenities clean.

Fun course if you like to or need to work on your short game. Conditions were OK and for the money, wasn’t too bad. Pace of play needs to be monitored more closely. Even though a retirement community, a 4300 yrd course should not take 5+ hours. I will give it another chance.

Love this course. Has a special spot in my heart for being the first course I ever played. Have played here several times over the last year and most recently really feels like they have upgraded the maintenance. They put in a nice new turf warm up area. The fairways and greens were looking really good. They are a dry course so no alcohol or bev cart, that is one down side. For the price it’s a really fun quick course, still several par 4s with some challenging water hazards. Looking forward to playing here again!

Decent price for 9 holes. Greens are biggest issue as they are extremely slow and need to be chit lower. Overall good condition. Off fairway equals a lot of dirt.

Fun coarse if you want to play a shorter course. Everyone there is awesome and are great to work with.

Accidentally sliced a ball off of a house. The guy and his neighbor both came out and stared at me for 5 minutes. He finally approached me and said “you’re gonna act like you didn’t hit my house?”, I responded with “you’re gonna act like you don’t live on a golf course?” Regardless, very narrow fairways with folks that are shocked when their house gets hit by a ball, no alcohol on the course. It was fine enough for an executive course but very much a “you’re not welcome here” feel. Won’t be going back.

Overall great experience from the welcome in the proshop to a couple of cold ones at the 19th hole. If anything the greens are a little furry or slow

Course is in very good condition and the price was good! I enjoyed my round and the people there.

Sunbird is a great course to play when you want to get on and off in a reasonable amount of time. You can still swing every club in your bag although its an executive course. The course was in really good condition and the weather was perfect. The pace was exceptional after we got past the first hole. Most holes offer its own little challenge. This isn't the most challenging course but its not boring either. The layout allows you to hit different clubs from the tee box depending on how far you drive the ball. Driver isn't the best option if you can drive it 250 or more. I will continue playing this course! The only downside is no cart girl and when I went to the bar after 9, there was no one there. The bar was packed with people but someone must have went on break because after waiting almost 5 minutes, I just left so my group didn't leave me. That was only downside to the round. They never have a cart girl so thats not a concern... The key is bringing water or having what you need before you start.
