Willow Creek Golf Course
About
Situated between Greenville and Spartanburg, Willow Creek Golf Course is a favorite course amongst many area players. The course has a classic layout that starts out gently with a player-friendly front nine but then becomes much more challenging on the back nine. The layout is a seemingly mild 6,890 yards from the back tees but it can feel longer because of all the elevation changes you'll encounter. It's a golf course that will appeal to beginners but advanced players will also enjoy the many risk-reward opportunities that can be found throughout. Water hazards come into play on eight holes and there is a slew of strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides. The par-5 fifth hole is Willow Creek Golf Course's signature. This 516-yard hole tumbles across rolling hills with a stream that cuts right through the fairway.

We Love Willow Creek
One of our favorite courses in upstate SC. Always in great shape. Very friendly staff.
Tough start but overall good experience
If this is your first time, allow for extra time before tee off. We had a difficult time finding the clubhouse, there is no sign! Once we went to the right building (there are two), the pro shop was friendly and got us going. However, the starter was less than thrilled about us being a few minutes behind due to the difficulty finding the pro shop and waiting in line, then getting carts, then being able to finally get to the tee box. It was a stressful start to our round that could have been improved by appropriate signage or the starter being a little bit nicer about the whole thing.
Aeration
Would have been nice to know the greens were aerated before booking . But right after I booked then the alert popped up. Other than that good condition.
Fun course
Good course. Greens had been aerated recently, but still in pretty good shape. The rest of the course was in great shape. Definitely recommend.
New Greens Excellent Imporvement to the Course
I played this course in 2019 before they redid the greens and the new greens are excellent! Overall the course is in great condition in 2020!!!
I do like Willow Creek very much but like many courses the forward tees are not perfect. The positive is that the forward tee boxes were in good condition (e.g. nice grass) but they are uneven. This is the only issue with the course for those that play the forward tee box. I would give the course a 5 star rating if the tee boxes were even.
Course/Greens in great shape
Love Willow Creek for its forgiveness in some areas and difficult pin placements on Sundays. New Tif-Eagle greens have turned our beautiful and roll true. Pace of place is always good for me.
Course is great shape! Love the new greens!
Probably one of the best public courses to play in the upstate. The new greens are in great shape. The practice facility is top notch. Food is good. I’ve never had a bad round out here, but on the days the pace of play is under 4 hours it’s just better.
Nice but tooo slow
Staff upon arriving was not friendly, but started made up for that. A very nice layout and overall conditions were very good. The greens were EXCELLENT. I will be back, but hope the pace of play improves.
Nice Round
Always seem to enjoy Willow Creek. One of my favorite local courses.
Little disappointing
Booked at 27.00 with 6.00 conveince fee and tax we paid 33.00 plus , only to get there to find out it was cart path only. Definitely not the value I normally get from Golf Now. Greens were good fairways were not even fit to walk on , in some cases.
