About
Situated between Greenville and Spartanburg, Willow Creek Golf Course is a favorite course amongst many area players. The course has a classic layout that starts out gently with a player-friendly front nine but then becomes much more challenging on the back nine. The layout is a seemingly mild 6,890 yards from the back tees but it can feel longer because of all the elevation changes you'll encounter. It's a golf course that will appeal to beginners but advanced players will also enjoy the many risk-reward opportunities that can be found throughout. Water hazards come into play on eight holes and there is a slew of strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides. The par-5 fifth hole is Willow Creek Golf Course's signature. This 516-yard hole tumbles across rolling hills with a stream that cuts right through the fairway.

Course is improving
Tee to green is much improved, especially bunkers, since I played several years ago. You can tell they are working hard. Greens medium speed and very little imperfections.
Great Track
This course has a lot to offer for every type of golfer.
Challenging holes and high confidence holes. Fairways and greens are in great shape. The staff is always helpful, the course is popular so sometimes the pace of play can be slow but it is well worth the wait. Also they have great practice facilities.

Almost unfair. Really hard to find ball just off the fairway. Other than that, Great golf course!!

The course is in great condition
The course was in excellent condition. Greens putted true and were slick. Pace of play was less than par,but I guess you will have that on a Friday. The course had a starter and a ranger, which is more than most public courses can say in the upstate. I will definitely be back.

TERRIBLE STAFF
I called up an hour early and asked if it was even ok if me and my golf partner were 20-30 minutes late and if they would push back our tee time at all, the guy who answered the phone politely said ok, and all was well… or so I thought, we get there and tell the guy at the desk the situation as we were golfing in Anderson as well before this and wanted to play 36 holes that day and we were running a quite late, the lady behind him jolts up, turns around and looks at the clock, I said “yeah we’re about 20-25 minutes late” to which she responds with “you’re actually 30 minutes late” I told her we called an hour ago but I don’t think it mattered if we called as soon as the sun rose because she complained to every single worker there was about us being late when there was nobody even waiting for us nor did we hold anybody else up!!
We apologize for the miscommunication and the unwelcoming experience upon your late arrival, despite your effort to inform us ahead of time. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we will work on improving our customer service. We hope you join us for another round soon.

I travel about 50 miles to play and try to play 2 or 3 times a year
