Power Ranch Golf Club

About
With its neighbors being the Santan Range and Superstition Mountain, it is no wonder Power Ranch Golf Club (formerly known as Trilogy Golf Club at Power Ranch) is known for its spectacular views. Although this championship golf course is near a residential area, the course architect, Dick Bailey, insists the homes were routed to accommodate the golf course and not vice versa. The holes amble through the cleansed desert of the Queen Creek wash, which features plenty of interesting elevation changes. Strategically placed mounding and bunkers are situated throughout the golf course. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes. Four sets of tee boxes are available to test experienced golfers and allow beginners to enjoy Power Ranch Golf Club as well.

How come I always have to hit my ball here? Photo submitted by cofgrindr8 on 12/10/2013
Pleasantly surprised
Haven't played here in a few years ago so wasn't sure what to expect since they over hauled the greens last year.
To begin, the staff (cart fellow, golf shop staff and starter) all very friendly and welcoming.
The course is in pretty good shape for this time of year. They've put some sand around the fringes of all the greens which helped soften the bounce and keep the balls on the green with approach shots. The greens were in great shape and played true.
Really enjoyed our afternoon, very hot, round. Water was provided to start and again at the turn. Great touch.
Stopped in for a beer and wings afterward and the wings were great.
Willl definitely play again and recommend Power Ranch.
SEAFURY
The greens are in good shape although they need to be mowed down and made a little quicker. The fairways are a bit above average but have some areas that work is being done on. Of course the problem for us is that we played at 11:00 the green fees were $34 and eventually it was 115° out with no drinking water on the course. They did have bottled water available on the car to have drinking water on the course anytime that conditions are above 90° so even that we booked through tee off with the discount I still believe at this time of the year it was a bit too pricey.
Great day at PR
Course is in really good condition. Greens soft and receptive and fairways lush and well maintained. Last years work did great. Kudos to the superintendent and greens keepers. Great to have a nice course close by.
Terribly conditioned
Worse conditions of any course I’ve played in years. Have played here numerous times previously and enjoyed. Arizona heat was blamed by staff but I play other Arizona courses in summer and nothing close to this burnout.
Great
Fun Course, Very busy and rightfully so but everyone keeps pace and is paired in groups nicely. Free water bottles and ice, staff does a great job. Course conditions are good. Holes are challenging yet doable and fun. You’ll meet great people if you get paired with strangers and have a fun time.
Nice course!
We always enjoy playing at Trilogy, the pace is great, the staff is great the course never disappoints.
Greens
Greens in decent condition. The 100% Green Renovation from last year ……didn’t seem to change anything! The slopes and shapes looked the exact same
Great Value
Greens were a little firm, play to the front of green as most shots will not hold.
Fun and a tournament challenge
I liked it. It had a good mix of holes. Long par 5s and is pretty well kept for the time of year. I would love to play this golf course every day if I could.
Greens not to shelf
Course overall was in great shape but the greens were slow and bumpy, as of they had been ariated recently. No notice on the site or at the course to indicate that.
Power Ranch
Played as a single. Starter was extremely friendly as well as accommodating. Played with three other gentlemen and thoroughly enjoyed the round.
Fun Time
I went as a single and the starter put me with a threesome of members. The guys were playing in their usual men’s group game and made me feel right at home. Awesome trio who had obviously been playing together for some time and liked to kid around. The course was in very good shape and the greens rolled very well and true. Well worth playing there and will put Power Ranch on my will play list next time I’m here.
