Desert Mirage Golf Course
About
Desert Mirage Golf Course offers a public, nine-hole course and a fully stocked pro shop. The course has a traditional design but that does not mean it is boring. It is perfect for squeezing in a quick game or for beginners and kids. The course is relatively flat, but there are some hills on the course that can affect shots. The greens are medium sized with some slight undulation and the generous fairways are wide open. There are also water hazards and bunkers that come into play on a few of the holes. Desert Mirage Golf Course's signature hole is the par-4 ninth. It requires a tee shot over a lake to an island green.

Outstanding driving range and recently renovated clubhouse
Really enjoyed the round. First one of the spring so was looking for a gentle re entry to golf for 2026. Greens were in pretty good shape. Great course for newer players or those looking for a no stress round.
Course has improved
You can tell that they have been making improvements @Desert Mirage. Besides the new driving range and pro shop improvements are underway on the course. The course is more important to me than the pro shop. Fairways especially are improved. We were very delayed as a 2 some. We could only get in 7 holes as the back up was costing us to be late for an appointment. 7 holes in 2 hours and we could see the las 2 were extremely backed up, There was no ranger on the course directing those ahead of us to pick up the pace.
Better than last time
Less players, actually able to get a good game going without stopping every hole to wait. A lot better.
Wildly overbooked
Waiting 20-25 mins at every tee box. People are walking the course , making it even slower. At more than $40 per round after a discount, it’s just not worth 2 hours for 9 holes of very, very slow golf.
All of this could be solved by booking less golfers , but ya know, money.
Good Times
Second time playing this course and it was as I remembered it…nothing fancy but very pkayable. Some par 4s and 3s of moderate length. Played early so pace of play was good. Greens were nice and putted well. Tees could have been moved from previous days play. Overall a fun time. Clubhouse looks great and didn’t use practice facilities but looked like monitoring devices in each bay to check your swing.
WAS one of my favorite inexpensive go-to courses.
WAS one of my favorite inexpensive go-to courses, Effective March 1st, rates will nearly double. They mad major improvements to the range, but this had nothing to do with improving the course.
Easy course for warm up round
First… I has read reviews that the new owners were working hard to make improvements; even though this was our first time here I could see that’s true. Nice to see!
Fairly easy, wide open course. A little rough, but not too bad - and I’m confident it will get better. Our first round after three months of Wisconsin winter, so was a nice warm up round for us - not too hard, only nine holes, decent pace of play.
Good luck to the new owners!
Nice course, slow pace
Course is great as far as layout and condition of the course. My only wish would be 10-12 min gaps between tee times. Winter brings a lot of snowbirds and the pace of play slows down dramatically.
Definitely bottom of my list to play in AZ
I’ve played here before the new ownership. Have seen people saying to come check it out since it’s undergone new management and in construction. Pretty noisy with construction sounds the whole round, course layout is pretty bad because of back to back holes playing the same distances and doesn’t really flow too amazingly. For $25 walking even to get 9 holes there is pretty poor value when aguila you can walk the 9 several times for $18 any time of the day and it is quite a bit nicer. May check back after renovations but the experience was one that doesn’t have me thinking I’ll go back any time soon.
Great Value for Money
The course is never in great shape but it’s more than capable of upholding a good round of golf. It’s inexpensive and also a solid layout for how small of a footprint the course takes up.
