About
Desert Mirage Golf Course offers a public, nine-hole course and a fully stocked pro shop. The course has a traditional design but that does not mean it is boring. It is perfect for squeezing in a quick game or for beginners and kids. The course is relatively flat, but there are some hills on the course that can affect shots. The greens are medium sized with some slight undulation and the generous fairways are wide open. There are also water hazards and bunkers that come into play on a few of the holes. Desert Mirage Golf Course's signature hole is the par-4 ninth. It requires a tee shot over a lake to an island green.

Fun Course, Friendly Staff, Bad Golfers
Good: Friendly staff. Practice range, putting green and small chipping area are nice. Low rates. Greens and tee boxes were well kept. Nice place for a quick 9.
Not so good: Course layout tends to put you directly in line with errant slices from other holes. And there are lots of errant slices. Not a large variety in par three distances. Course can be played with a driver, pitching wedge, 9 iron and a putter.
Bad (not a reflection on the course but the golfers who play there): Did I mention errant shots yet? Also, high handicapped players should not be playing the tips. Know your abilities.
The group behind me hit three balls in the water trying to drive the green on 9. All while we were still putting out. Every ball was at least 80 yards short of clearing the lake. Had they been playing the proper tees they still would have been short but if they cleared the lake (by divine intervention) with me on the green it would have gotten ugly.

Surprised
First time in probably 15 years that I've played there. It's much nicer now than it was back then. Nice to see a 9 hole/short coarse busy and staying open.

pleasantly surprised
I hadn't played here for probably 15 years. Back then it was pretty run down and rough. Today I was surprised to see a pretty well kept coarse. Had a fun time. It's good to see a 9 hole and/or short coarse staying open and busy.

Great little track
Enough variety on this 9 hole course that you use all the club's, even driver. Great prices and staff attitude. Good place to learn or get in a quick round.
