About
Desert Mirage Golf Course offers a public, nine-hole course and a fully stocked pro shop. The course has a traditional design but that does not mean it is boring. It is perfect for squeezing in a quick game or for beginners and kids. The course is relatively flat, but there are some hills on the course that can affect shots. The greens are medium sized with some slight undulation and the generous fairways are wide open. There are also water hazards and bunkers that come into play on a few of the holes. Desert Mirage Golf Course's signature hole is the par-4 ninth. It requires a tee shot over a lake to an island green.

Great 9 hole course

Hoping for more
First time playng Desert Ridge and we had high hopes for a good irons tune-up. Unfortunately the course was in poor condition. We will allow for monsoon season for all the overly saturated conditions, with standing water locations on every hole. There were watery creek conditions on multiple fairways in addition to the actual creeks. So the entire course was a soggy, slightly smelly soup. We will acknowledge Mother Natures hand in this.
What is controllable by course management was the prolific amount of crabgrass, bare spots in fairways and many, many pits and potholes in the cart paths. The course looked sad and neglected overall.
The staff however, all 3 we met independently, were unfailingly helpful and professional. Great customer service skills were evident. So kudos for that. We might try it again in 3 or 4 months, hoping for an improvement, but there is so much work to be done.

No ball cleaner
Throughout the whole course 18 holes not one had any water for the ball washer. This has been everytime I have been here. The staff is amazing, friendly and remember me by name when walking in..

Water Everywhere
Course is solid. Great beginner course, fast greens, however extreme amounts of water everywhere, severe over watering, we were joking the whole time every hole is a water hazard even though only hole 9 has one. Walking on fairways and even greens you would leave your footprint, my shoes were covered in mud and soaking wet.
