About
Desert Mirage Golf Course offers a public, nine-hole course and a fully stocked pro shop. The course has a traditional design but that does not mean it is boring. It is perfect for squeezing in a quick game or for beginners and kids. The course is relatively flat, but there are some hills on the course that can affect shots. The greens are medium sized with some slight undulation and the generous fairways are wide open. There are also water hazards and bunkers that come into play on a few of the holes. Desert Mirage Golf Course's signature hole is the par-4 ninth. It requires a tee shot over a lake to an island green.

Slow Play
They have a men’s league on Saturday so don’t bother playing unless you don’t mind waiting. They let the league people play a second 9 and pushed us public
Players back. Therefore, the online time didn’t mean a thing.

Great Experience
I am a novice golfer who was visiting my sister and I found the staff and driving range to be very helpful and professional. I brought a set of clubs and the front desk person kindly informed me to keep my clubs outside in a rack that was available to help minimize contact. The range was well kept and offered adequate challenge and would recommend it to all skill levels.

Loved playing here. Great place to work on whatever facet of your game needs work. Grass is taken care of exceptionally well. I will be going back here to play over and over.

Great course. As a beginner, I liked it because it had a few par 4s and the fair ways were. Ice and the greens were kept up.

if you have no other option
I didn't have another option and wanted to get quick 9 in. Best part was couple I played with. There is a nice practice area and that is really what this is a practice course. Avoid if you are expecting a fun layout. Nice enough, and ok but if you have other options, take it

Staff is challenging, course is not.
About what you'd expect from a neighborhood 9 hole. Conditions were decent and pace of play is slow due in great part to skill level of majority of players. This is not a knock. This is where beginners SHOULD play.
What I find confusing is a consistent attitude from course staff. As often as not, they are rude, condescending and act like it's inconvenient for them to be there. I am not sure if they had similar issues in their career at NASA and launching space shuttles, but this is a golf course... and not a significant one for that matter.
I have played here a dozen times or so and easily half the time staff has been uncooperative and argumentative in checking in and starting.
Playing golf is ideally designed to relieve stress, not induce it. I am not sure if there is a new inexperienced owner or manager, but when the attitude is pervasive it suggests the boss is supporting this unprofessional attitude.
All things considered I typically enjoy playing here once clear of the 'pro' shop. I hate to think I will avoid this course, which is a great way to spend an afternoon, because I don't want to run the gauntlet to get past the staff.
