About
Junior National Golf Club (formerly known as Tres Rios Golf Course at Estrella Mountain Park and Estrella Mountain Golf Course) is rich with dense forestry including eucalyptus, mesquite, and pine trees as well as cottonwoods. The course has a parkland-style layout with rolling fairways lined with trees and undulating greens that are medium-sized and fast. To add more challenge to the golf course, water hazards and bunkers come into play on several holes. The par-4 seventh hole is considered the most difficult driving hole on the course. There are stately trees off the tee and the second shot is to a narrow sloping green. Junior National Golf Club features multiple tee boxes for a variety of different golfing options.

Simply not worth it. It seems like a great price but you get what you pay for. Horrible customer service from Lori the GM, not promising if that's how the leadership talks to and treats customers. Horrible course management. Horrible course conditions from the tee box to the greens. I would think they have access to plenty of water with all the broken sprinklers flooding in several areas throughout the entire track but that's not the case. Don't bother making the trip. Go check out Falcon. They are the same price point, friendlier, better shape and more convenient.

this course continues to erode . . Other than rain there dose not seem to have any water put on it. .There was not an overused put on it either. It is overpriced at best.

Cheap, but ...
Tres Rios is generally a great local course with great pricing. Unfortunately, it's not even worth the great pricing any more. The fairways are dead AND painted green. The sand traps are mud traps and the greens are mostly seed.
I would rate the course a 3 out of 10 right now.

Very Disappointing
Course looks horrible, greens are rock solid with sand bumping your ball around on putts. Fairways are patchy with dead spots all over. Sand traps are rock solid with weeds growing out of them. Trash on the course in the weeds. Very disappointed. Will not return, its ashame.

Greens
This course is a good track but.......
Pace of play is slow. Also don't mind choppy fairways but, the greens and bunkers are horrible. The one thing I think should always be in at least good condition are the greens. My opinion

Course is in terrible shape.
Leaking water mains all over the course; painted greens; no grass to speak of. Fairways are mostly deadpan; bunkers are like stone.

Course is in terrible shape, grass is poor if you are off the fairway even 1 inch your in gavel and dirt. The greens are fair at best.

Disappointing.
This course used to be in decent shape and fun to play. Not anymore. Tee boxes have little or no grass, sand traps have weeds growing in them, fairways are sparse and the greens have patches and have green dye on them.

Expect slow pace of play
Card says 4 hr pace of play. Our round took 5.5hrs, waiting on groups ahead of us at every tee. No field marshals, no effort made to keep pace of play to what the card states. Expect a slow really slow round of golf at this course.

Great for the $23.00 hot deal.
In the last couple years this course has been poorly managed and maintained fairways are right off the roof is nothing but dead. The greens need some serious help also. But like I said great for $23 this time of year.

Worst pace of play ever
Paid for 18 holes and managed to play 9 holes in 3+ hours. We sat along with 3 other foursomes at every tee box. When we went into the clubhouse after 9 holes and asked for our money back we were told that a 6 hour round is the norm in the valley. This course is a joke.

Very forgiving course
The greens were in poor condition but the ball rolled fairly well. The tee boxes were in very poor condition. This is the worst I’ve seen this course in the winter and I’ve been playing this course for almost thirty years.

Not in the best of shape. Overseed didn't appear to take as fairways and greens were spotty. Rough was just hardpan, dust, and dirt. But with prices $150 and up this time of year, it is one of the few I can affordably play

Terrible conditions
Greens were painted where grass should be grown. Fairways were very poor and weeds were growing because there was no competition from grass. Very poorly maintained course.
