The condition of tres rio golf course has deteriorated badly, I would say some of the fairways and greens were ok, but there were weeds and dead grass everywhere. The bunkers were hard and packed with no sand in them?

I have played the course about 18 months ago and it was certainly in a much better condition then than it is now.

The maintenance of the course is awful. Fairways are in very poor condition and so are some of the greens. The course is screaming for water!

Hooked up with some other guys playing on 1/3/19. Course edges were much cleaner than when I played it in December. Pace was very good today. Staff was very friendly and we teed of right on time. Great value and definitely am coming back.

Let me say this. I wouldn't play this course again if you paid me!

Played here with a friend. This time of year in the Phoenix area you expect the courses to be in good condition. This course has just been neglected. Sand on the greens dyed green, to look like grass. The fairways look like mid-summer dry crusty grass. The only water is broken sprinklers in a few fairways. I paid $23 to play here it was barely worth it.

First it took about 10 minutes for us to check in and there was only one person in front of us. Second he only let twosomes go out instead of foursomes which would've saved time. Third the first Green had chunks of grass missing from us like it was purposely removed. Fourth the rounds at 4 1/2 hours to complete. Fifth there was so much sand and holes in the greens you really never got a true roll. 6th there was dirt everywhere.

Never again. I took my dad here because he hasn't golfed in 20 years and this was his first experience of Arizona golf? Spend five or $10 more and go somewhere else, anywhere else.

That is the poorest condition of any course we have ever played.The greens were in terrible condition.I think they have no water for the course

The course is in awful condition, I used to golf here but wont be back until course improves.

I have played at Tres Rios for over 10 years. The course used to be quite playable, and had improved a lot over the years. This year is an exception. Dry fairways, rough not maintained, terrible greens with large dead spots and partially sanded, hard bunkers with little sand, rough dry tee boxes, cups improperly set (some almost even with the green surface, loose cups, compact sand that prevents the flag from going into the cup center more than 1/2 way), and a green fee price that is too high for a course in deplorable condition are all reasons I will probably not return.

Even for a municipal course, the condition of the greens & Fairways are horrible. It has never been in decent shape, but this is the worst I've ever seen it. A course with so much potential but thats all it can be. Might as well close it . Only good thing on the golf course. New flags. Will never play it again. Sad, sad sad.

Played this course last year at the same time. Wow what a difference. The course was mostly dead and every green basically was. There was even some patch work on them and that was pretty unappealing. Overall pretty disappointed in the course conditions and probably won’t be back to this course.

Played last year right around Thanksgiving and the course was in much better shape. I know it's a year difference but my God it's like playing a completely different course. Greens were God awful, some slow, some fast, and super sandy. Couldnt get an approach shot to bite. Fairways were 50/50 green or dead. Tee boxes were awful. Multiple holes with wrong flag colors. $30 a round is an insult.

The first thing you notice is the greens aren't green but in all fairness they were mostly well rolled and putted true. Most of the fairways were cut very short and reseed was recent but they had few problems.

I took a relatively new golfer, who was visiting from out of town, to this golf course. I was embarrassed. I have never seen a golf course in such dreadful condition. It’s nothing more than a cow pasture. It is dusty, there is no grass in the fairways, it was hard to differentiate a green from the fairway. We were advised to keep the cart 30 yards from the greens ... why, I’d like to know?? Not like we could do any further damage. One green was quite literally half covered in sand. It is a disgrace that we were charged $30 to play here. Don’t ruin your day by considering this course. Spend an extra $10 and choose any other course in the area - I promise it will be a far better experience.

We played this course last year and it was in decent shape. Thought we would try it again. Wrong assessment. Driving from the #1 tee box I knew this was not good. Dust flying everywhere. Fairways were brown greens were brown and it was apparent that this course is being starved by the lack of water. A few of the greens have areas cut out but have never been repaired, which is like having a sand trap on the green

I would say that this place is either broke or terribly mismanaged.
